I make more than my friends so fairly often I buy movie tickets/dinner/etc. Whenever I throw a party I supply all the alcohol. I don't think of it as any of them owing me, so much as if I get laid off they can buy me dinner
everyone pays for stuff at different times and it evens out for the most part. there are moochers you have to watch out for, who will only hang around for free shit.
Not really. I do keep a mental note to weed out chronic freeloaders though. All of my friends are very generous, and sometimes that gets taken advantage of.
With my friends, it all works out. We all keep track ±$5. Smaller than that error margin, nobody cares. The "debit" system as I call it just makes sense since not everybody carries cash at the same time. So far, it has worked out well.
Occasionally, you run into the person who doesn't have enough cash and needs the table to cover. After a few times in a row, usually just get the person to hit the ATM prior to the meal, problem solved.
Depends. If someone asks me for money and they say they're going to pay me back, then I will remember. But if it's just a couple dollars it's like w/e.
I ordered $30 worth pizza 'cause parents were out and I decided to throw a party. Didn't ask for any of it back. I guess once in a while it's okay to just treat your friends like that.
We all even out meals and stuff, and everybody's pretty good about it. It doesn't really happen intentionally though, we just kind of alternate getting certain things.
I think we all keep track of who we owe money to, none of us really care if we get paid back a few dollars here and there, it all just seems to work out in the end.
