From weight lifting? Most I lift is 3-4x a week. The other days are usually either light cardio (active recovery) or nothing.

Well, from the gym.

Even on my cardio days I will do some assistance exercise, core, or legs.

I actually require a day off every 3ish days or else my activities will outrun my recovery. I don't like it, but I take it.

I work out 5 days a week now. I have no issues taking my planned days off, but if something comes up and I have to skip another day, I feel weird.

My typical schedule is 3 days on, 1 day off. Any more than that and I'm usually too sore & tired to keep having good workouts.

My body seems to take longer to recover, I like my every other day schedule I may have to change over a 3 on 1 off just because I'm doing so much.

Well today is my rest day cuz I slept way too much. I usually take that as a sign.

Have kids. That will ensure time off. City league soccer started. I'm missing 3 days per week for another month. Otherwise, Fridays are my off day.

this.

with weekday activities, crazy bedtimes, busy weekends and early work meetings, i am already sacrificing sleep to maintain my 3 on 1 off schedule.

And now it appears I have a new personal trainer. Called the boy after school, told him I was going to hit the gym before soccer. He wants to know if I'm going to lift. Why, I ask? "Because you need that more than the elliptical." Cheeky little......

5 days a week, lifting Mon, Weds and Fri and doing cardio Tues and Thurs. Occasionally when I have weekends off I might do an extra day or two of cardio.

I'm generally the same way--if I go more than 3 days in a row, the workouts get significantly worse. My usual schedule is 3 on, 1 off, 2 on, 1 off just to be able to fit it all into a week.
