:\ Having trouble processing this.

I will never choose to have children for ANY reason. If her biological imperative to procreate becomes so strong that she needs her own children, our only option is to separate. However neither of us believes she will get to that point but we have discussed all possibilities.

You've discussed it. Most don't and the poop hits the fan eventually.

Its scary having kids.

You go through life with not a fuck to be had then theres this little thing that relies on you for everything. :'(

She's doing well now though :awe:

At 24 kids are the furthest things from my mind. My GF and I are both on the same page when it comes to this and before we took the rubbers off and put our lives in the daily pill we agreed that if something were to happen it would be a trip to the local clinic for an abortion.

Now give me 5 years when I feel like I'll probably (but not likely) be a little bit more mature and I'd be willing to have a kid or two.

I don't have any, but I'm single so that's to be expected. I would like a couple when I do get married however.

This year I'm going to be an uncle x2, my oldest bro and his wife are having their first soon, and my other brother and his wife are having their first near the end of the year.

You may get flamed for that line, but I would feel that exact same way. I bet the sense of relief was incredible. Luckily my GF absolutely believes in murder.

FTFY

Yes I went there.

I have one kid. I only wanted one so that is all I have. I have only one because I didnt want to have to share my love amongst multiple kids. I dont care who you are or what you say, you will always love one more than the other and I didnt want to put that on any kid. So all my love goes to one kid. 🙂

Don't have any, don't particularly want any, but I know there's a small chance that I'll change my mind so I won't do anything drastic like get snipped at this point in life (I'm 27).

Honestly, I'm probably too selfish to be a good parent. I don't even want the responsibility of taking care of a cat, much less a child. I'm also skeptical of marriage.

Didn't care for them in my twenties. Had the first at 35...can't imagine going thru life without them now (I have 3 now).

i find it shocking that more than 50% of the people here are parents, and even more shocking that many of those people claiming to have kids are among the most prolific posters here.

I have one biological daughter, and 5 Step-daughters!
One biological Grandchild (Boy) and 13 step-grandchildren.

I wanted two children, selfish ex-wife wanted none, but I did the best I could with the one, VERY, VERY proud of her & her achievements.

No and no. Kids would cramp my style, man and I'm far too selfish to be a father.

I voted no, I'm happy single, and definitely would not want kids either. Of course this could easily change in years from now.

People these days seem to find that "weird" but I don't live for others, I live for myself.

No, and no.

If they ever come with an OFF switch that could be used without any ill effects, I might consider it.
They require more attention and resources than I feel like providing, thus it doesn't seem reasonable to want kids.

I don't even live by my own rules.
