My wife is 12 weeks pregnant and I'm in the process of dismantling my lifestyle to make room for baby. Never thought I would EVER take this plunge, but I think I am ready for the challenge.

Yes, I have children. Do you want them? They are getting very expensive, as both of them are now in University.

1 daughter, she turns 1 this week. Best thing that has ever happened to me, I look forward to seeing her each day when I get home. She is always so happy and excited, it makes me feel good when I've had a shitty day.

I have kids...fortunately, they're grown and gone. (our "baby" turned 32 last week)

NO MORE! I hate kids...😛

Your kids will appreciate having elderly parents who are told old and set in their ways to run around with a soccer ball

Glad we had our daughter at a young age. We will have plenty of years to enjoy our retirement rather than have our kid graduate from college when we are near 60.

Don't have any kids, and not sure if I want them or not. GF and I haven't decided yet. I will say though if she was pregnant I would want to keep and raise the child, not go for the abortion/up for adoption route.

Do you? I know I don't. At least not until I'm 35 at least.

I have kids. Coincidentally, my first was born when I was 35. The transition from having all kinds of free time and disposable income was quite difficult. I love my kids more than I thought possible but there's no denying they are an expensive time consuming pain in the ass.

1 boy (11 months old) and another boy on the way in November...most amazing things in the world when you're ready for them...btw I turned 36 this year and I was just barely ready, and aside from what some uneducated people might think I'm not nearly too old to enjoy my kids and run around with a soccer ball...plus I got to enjoy life while I was young instead of when I'm old😛

For now, no fucking thank you. I'll buy a dog.

Only reason I see to have kids is to try to balance the equation with you wackjobs who do have them.

As of right now I have never, ever wanted kids, and neither does my girlfriend. We're both in our late 20s, and honestly, no one in their 20s should have children. They aren't mature enough and are almost certainly not financially stable enough unless they come from money.

I'm ambivalent.

my biological clock isn't ticking and if I never had kids, I don't think I'd regret it very much, but at the same time, if I was with someone that did really want children, I wouldn't mind it.

While I don't agree a full 100%, I laugh at the people on facebook getting married and/or having kids in their early 20's. Poor them

Yeah, there are exceptions of course, but pretty much everyone I know or see that had kids in their early 20s is living a pretty subpar life at this point. One of my idiot friends had TWO kids at around 25. He gets to pay child support now.

29-34 sounds just about right. That point where secured money should be coming in, not too old, and you aren't 60 and trying to make money for them to go to college. But that age is a lot to give up your social life for.

Different strokes for different folks. I have a friend, 26, who has been married for a couple of years, and they just had their first child. They are very happy.
