Used to be audio for me. Stupid Head-Fi made me buy all kinds of expensive shit like headphone amps, custom made ICs, power bricks, and headphones!

Was it money well spent at least?

I was not assimilated like the others, so no, it was waste of money for me. I barely touch my "rig" now a days.

at 15 to 60 a bottle outside a restaurant it's definitely in the high end.

I got invited to a pizza (homemade) and wine night with a group of chicks that rollerbladed, I was to be security. They had been skating in a public park for a while and developed a fan club of shady dudes, this was back in the 90's...

They were spending far too much on their wine for piss poor quality. Once they saw the light they never went back.

Fast food was a bad habbit for me last year. I'd bow 40 bucks easily per week. Now I'm pretty much saving my money, though this month I did spend a lot. a $80 compressor, a $200 camera...

I have averaged about 0$/month in spendings for a while now... So no, I have no expensive habits, but then again I have no habits that require money...

Some of you must be loaded with cash if you spend $20k+/yr on restaurants and such.

Buying shitty clothes I think I need/like, wearing it once, then throwing it in the back of the closet... like the $100 jacket I bought a month ago, or the 2 t-shirts (I hate wearing things with elastic collars).

Most of our stuff is closer to $15 than $60, but we have a few special bottles. :) We do a lot of tasting in Washington and Oregon, certain areas of which desperately want to be the next Napa and are pricing their wine accordingly ($80-120). The prices are not usually on par with the quality. :)

Eating out. I used to spend about $7-8 a day Monday to Friday on food... not anymore though.

Firearms.

Just cleaned out 3 stores out of .308 ammo (about 400 rounds), that I will probably have shot up by Monday. At least I can use the brass to re-load.

Cell phones and random computer crap. I am a sucker for new cell phones, well smart phones. Luckily I am on Sprint and it is fairly rare they have anything worth a damn. Went from a Q->Diamond and will probably get a Pre this year. Other than that just random computer stuff. In an effort to cut down on the spending I parted out my desktop and got a notebook so I wouldn't be tempted to buy so much new stuff. That lasted about three months and then I convinces myself I need a NAS, so its its the same thing all over again.

ie: Spending $10 on coffee, buying cigarettes, smoking pot daily

I personally keep fairly close track of most purchases, but there are a few things that would still fall in this category. I probably "waste" about $2500-$4000 a year on stuff that really doesn't benefit me in any way.

I'd love to see pot in someone's personal spreadsheet monthly budget. lol. Not saying it's not practical, lots of people smoke pot here regularly enough that they would need to budget for it but it would still be lol worthy to see it in print.
