OP: You might get some interesting phrase from said F-bomber but...I worked in the maintenance department at pharmaceutical company prior to going back to school, dude.

Now...all I really needed to mention was "maintenance".

A few things about mechanics/electricians/etc. in a maintenance department:

1. maintenance underlings do not understand commands unless they include at least 3 swear words.

2. prior to the start of any maintenance related meeting, at least 5-10 minutes must be wasted swearing and/or telling disgusting jokes.

3. As a boss, maintenance lead, or maintenance engineer (me) the morale of guys working your jobs is proportional to the amount of cursing and otherwise foul language they hear issue from your filthy hole.

My boss, the maintenance manager, was one of the most creative cursers I have ever known...and what was so funny about it is I went to lots "business" meeting with him (QA meetings, operations planning meeting, etc.) and he was the complete gentleman with a wonderful control of the english language. Maintenance meeting or in the shop...he could burn the ears off a sailor with his language.

He had foul names most of the shop equipment, many tools, and quite a wide assortment of building/plumbing/electrical materials.

One of my favorites...you know that black foam insulation tubing that is placed over cold or hot liquid lines. He called it "donkey dick"....big black donkey dick. He would tell people to order it saying, "order yourself up some donkey dick...the extra thick stuff...don't give me that look, I know you like the extra thick."

Man that's entertainment!

LOL, F-bomb and the CEO are at each other's throats again. CEO has resorted to cussing up a storm to match F-Bomb's epithets. This is fun stuff--this whole side of the office is listening in!

Guy at my office has "Fvck" tattooed on one hand and "you" tattooed on the other.

But no, we don't have anyone who uses profanity at work like that, at least that I've heard. It's kind of unprofessional.

Contact HR and tell them it is disturbing and needs to be stopped as it's very offensive to you. Otehrwise you could probablyt sue them for emotional damage. heh.
HR is the chick sitting next to my cube...I'm sure she's heard him before.

It's still workplace harrassment even if someone doesn't report it. So if your job has any policies like that... yeah...

If you did that crap in my company to the wrong person, you'd be out so fast you'd be wondering what you're doing at home.

I know I hear it a lot. Not a workplace (well, I guess it sort of counts) as I'm only 14.

I take 3 school buses to school. 2 of the drivers are F-bombers.

One of them flips off drivers that don't have their lights on. Or, if he had to slam on the brakes, he'll be muttering things like "I wish I could slap that fvcking b!tch"

The other one is the type that has to talk to whoevers sitting in the front (I get motion sickness in the bacl). I don't really mind, as this ride is ~ an hour. "I hate Winter because I can't do Fvck-all"

I do hear a lot of it at school. I remember one of the teachers calling one of the students a jack-ass.

Gym teachers will say stuff like "I'm getting sick of this bullsh!t"

Like the construction guy said, in the Army it's encouraged. Hell, I think the US Army would literally fall apart and stop functioning if the F-word was banned from use. Nobody would know what anything or anyone was anymore.

Funny... My boss is the "F Bomb" where I work. If doesn't really matter if he's mad or not, either. He always talks like that!

We had a dude who would use the f-word as a filler work like most people use "um" and "like".

It was funny.

I work in a call center. Everyone is that guy. We have great fantasies about giving to customers with 50 gallon drums and no lube!
