Propane rocks.

Its the only way to have a grilling lifestyle. Charcoal is for weekend warriors at best imo, because of the extra time and work involved in the whole process. Certainly nothing wrong with the end product of charcoal grilling, if they know what they're doing regarding temps and hotspots etc., but gas provides the convenience for grilling 3-4 days out of the week...and the flavors are always outstanding.

Like Lolawiz says, it can make a person elitist, since restaurant food rarely tastes nearly as good as grilled food, while saving a lot of money cooking at home as well.

i prefer charcoal and use it all the time. I also grill out 3-5 days a week. i will also grill out in the winter all the time.

does it take longer? sure. but well worth the work. anyway the extra time is when you drink a beer and relax.

We have Weber charcoal grill. Love it. I use it in combination with my oven. Start in the grill and finish it in the oven or vise versa. Only thing I'm missing is a smoker, and I plan to build that when I have time.

I've had a wood burning smoker and grill for 10 years. Usually I grill with charcoal and smoke with pecan or hickory.

Sadly, the busier I have been lately, I finally traded in my manhood and brokedown and bought propane.

On the bright side I am grilling more and more. I guess I am breaking even in manhood-ness.

Have a Weber propane. Not sure of the model

Same here, although I rarely use charcoal anymore because gas is much easier.

Foreman "grills" are more like double sided frying pans then grills.

I have an outdoor charcoal grill and an indoor George Foreman grill. The charcoal grill makes food taste a thousand times better than the George Foreman grill does. I still use the George Foreman; it's easy to do fish, chicken, and burgers on in a pinch. I also use it a few times a week for grilled sandwiches. If it's just for one person, get the mini version:

If you want to cook for 2 or more people, get one of the larger models. Do NOT get the model with removable plates; it's terrible. Complete waste of money. Get one of the 1-piece models like this one instead:

Char-Griller makes some of the best charcoal grills around:

I have both, propane is fast for when I'm tired after work but I still like to
cook steaks over coals, I like the fact that if I want more heat(for better sear)
just build a bigger fire!.

Weber Charcol 22

The nicer $300 walmart propane.

I have had it for three years now and it is going great. (outside all summer, in the garage for winter)

/me looks at his $2k grill

Nope. I don't have one. By oven has a broiler though. It's basically the same thing.
