Since getting my new phone I've been contemplating signing up for Facebook and or Twitter. Yeah I don't have many friends yet so it's not like I will be making a lot of use of it right away but that should change. I've always hated Twitter and to a lesser extent Facebook but I guess they are slowly winning the battle of wills against me 🙁 Anyway how many you guys here have accounts?

Ah shit forgot the Don't have either option 🙁 Can a mod add this?

I've had a Facebook account for a few years and mostly like it; Twitter sucks shit and I need to close my account.

Even in concept I don't like the idea of twitter. I can understand why a lot of people don't want to try Facebook, they probably had a bad myspace experience. Facebook is socially mandatory now and there isn't much reason not to use it. I keep in touch with everyone from my grandma to girls I dated more than 10 years ago.

I didn't have a facebook account for a long time didn't want one, but seeing as how its the only way my friends and family seem to share news. Like my brother surviving his tour in Afghanistan. I caved and signed up. Although I'm glad I did as a I got a free MP3 player from napster out of it.

I do have a twitter account, but that's mostly for contests that require one.I don't really tweet though.

I sort of have a Twitter account. I can't remember why I created it, and I never used it past the day I created it. So technically I have Twitter, but realistically none.

Edit:
Yup, I just signed in under lxskllr, and I remember why I created it. It was for Woot.com's twitter feed :^D

Did Facebook magically suggest a first friend that you knew? That freaked me out when I first started my account. It was odd because the person it picked wasn't family and wasn't local, but it was someone I knew.

I've got both, but rarely ever check my facebook and have never tweeted, I just wanted to read a couple every now and then

Don't see an option for "none". I don't have a facebook or twitter account, and I have no plans to get either.

In theory, something like facebook could be useful, unlike twitter, which is a perfect example of sheer useless drivel all packaged up in a tidy little ball. I don't mind facebook, but I have a big problem with the way facebook uses data and how much information becomes public. Privacy settings and all that crap just affect who gets to see your info on facebook, but it doesn't affect what facebook does with the information at all. No thanks.

Just facebook. It has its purposes: keep up with my foreign friends, plan parties, help recall names of people you meet, etc.

Twitter is just plain stupid. Facebook is pretty dumb as well, but I do have an account because it is easier to share pictures and other stuff with family members who also have Facebook accounts. Otherwise, I just use it to make fun of others.

I have both. I know it's like super cool on ATOT to hate them, but they have their uses. Facebook is just for keeping in touch with friends/family. I rarely post anything, but the option is there.

On twitter I never "tweet" I just use it to follow people. I'm a big NBA fan, and twitter is great for getting breaking trade news, rumors, injuries, etc. I also follow the dell outlet and get good coupons from there. I also follow some some tech stuff and Android rom stuff, local weather channel and local traffic. For stuff like this Twitter is excellent.

I have a Twitter account but I don't really use it. There is only one account I actually follow (shitmydadsays). All the others are people I'm following just because I know them, but all of those people are also on Facebook and use it more regularly so there's no reason at all to use Twitter. Whenever I consider typing something into Twitter, I decide not to since everyone who follows me (just a few family and friends) is also my friend on Facebook and would just see the same thing twice.

I remember when I first heard of Twitter thinking how stupid it was since Facebook lets you do the exact same thing - type up status updates. Unlike Twitter, Facebook doesn't restrict you to 140 characters and you can do a lot more.
