I have 4 badges (for different secured areas, buildings and DC's we have machines in) that I must display at all times. (Federal building)

Yes, I have a keycard enabled badge for work. It's not a requirement for all employees, but it is for some departments, including mine, when employees need access to secure facilities. I'm also going to get a keyfob in addition to my badge; I don't want to be trapped somewhere if my badge happens to break (again) while I'm in a secure facility.

i have a badge that is my keycard to get into buildings and stuff.

i have one of those little clips on my belt that lets it hang and has the stretchy cord attached to it.

you need to have it visible at all times or if you run into the wrong person they will give you a hard time about it. and you also need it to open most of the doors in the building.

most people either wear it on their belt like this or around their neck.

I have a badge that I got in 2001. I wear it, though the photo is so faded and old that it's not really usefull as an ID. It is usefull as a key though, since it opens the doors to the buildings and test labs that I need access to.

Yes, we're required to display them at all times. Not everyone does, but some of the security guards will hassle you if you don't... especially if you're coming into the building. If you forget it one day, you're required to wear a sticker that identifies you as a "Very Important Colleague."

Our badges are also our access cards. Since the company is going down the pooper though, I can't justify a minimum order of $500 worth of badges to replace them as they stop working, break, etc. so now we recycle old badges to current employees. Not many people have their own picture on their badge, it's usually someone we laid off. I like to think that I'm giving them a reminder of what's probably going to happen to them soon enough.

yea I have 2, I wear them even though I don't think I *Have* to but if I want to get into any of the rooms in the building I need them and if I don't' wear them I'd end up forgetting them somewhere, or getting locked outside or something stupid like that. I would rather not have to worry about it but the govt is kinda retarded.

oh man that would be depressing. Guessing morale isn't too big a concern there.

Yes, I keep it in my wallet.

The security wafer still works through my wallet, so I just hold my wallet up to the sensor to unlock the doors.

I have a badge, we need to wear it in plain site at all times. Also I need it to access some of the labs and other rooms I use. And I use a snatch off lanyard.

At my main office I have a card that is in a "holder" hooled up to a spring landyard, and clips on the pocket. It kinda gets anoying as it moves around a lot while walking and the card and access fob actually fall out if you walk too fast. :D

At the hospital where I'm stationed we have the ones that go around the neck and the card itself acts as the fob, for the server room door and other locked out areas. I usually just keep it in my coat pocket as I only need it to enter the building if I get lucky enough to get parking on the side. I probably should be wearing it all the time though... just never bother, I find it gets annoying.
