FAA requirement. There are guidelines for how it is displayed too. As a badged employee I am required to do an ID challenge if someone doesn't display a badge or I get in trouble. TSA sometimes sends an undercover out to test compliance. It only takes a couple of violations and TSA wont badge me. Huge loss in earnings if I can't get on to an airfield.

No work badge but I do have keys so I can work weekends. I do have a county issued ID so I get into the court house without a 30 minute wait to be scanned and molested.

Not wearing your security badge in my place of employment is grounds for termination. Permanent termination. Everyone knows this.

Yep - we must wear them due to IP [intellectual property] reasons and to try and keep theft at a minimum. Our company takes wearing badges very seriously - if you're caught without it - you get written up. If you choose to "forget" to wear it - you might as well start looking for another job. :)

Yes we do have badges and we are "supposed to" wear them but I haven't seen anyone got into trouble for not doing so. If you lose the badge, it will cost you about $10 to replace it and you "supposed to" notify IT/Security Dept so they could disable the old badge.

Our badges also act as keys to certain restricted areas in the building.

Yeah, not "mandatory" but mandatory.

The school's name, my name in Japanese, and my job title. Only at my elementary school though.

Yes to the badge and have to different keycards for two buildings, pretty annoying.

Yes and we have to wear them. If we forget them then we have to run our license through the Raptor system and get a print out badge with our license picture on it. Raptor is a system used by school systems to screen entry.

Badge/Keycard. Everyone is required to wear their badge since it shows your name and your clearance level. The keycard is required to go through pretty much any door in the building. You have to enter a personal code as well.

we have an id badge that also doubles as a magnetic key card. but it's only used at the entrance to the complex. inside there's fingerprint scanners... possible to fool, but harder then using someone else's ID card...

Yes we have badges that are also magnetic swipe. I wear mine because the door to my office has a keycard lock, so I use it constantly throughout the day.

I don't have no stinkin' badges, but I do have a magnetic key card. I keep it in my wallet so I can open the back entrances to the office.

Badge on top of a keycard. It's on a clip & string, but I just have it all rolled up into one and I pocket it like a moneyclip.

Yes, our company deals with ITAR materials for space. Mandatory to wear the badge which also acts as the keycard. If other people open the door for you and you don't swipe to leave or get in, then you will be locked in/out. The computer keeps track of when and where we get in or out.
