Do you hate sticky keys?

I hate it when you use someone elses computer (at a lab or something) and they still have the stickykeys feature on... does this aggravate anyone else?

I use to hold shift all the time when I was writing papers back in high school while trying to think of what I wanted to write in the next sentence. 8 seconds later, sticky keys turns on. It would not turn off either unless you restarted. ACK!

Wash hands before using keyboard please! 😉

Oh that chirpy thing when the shift key is pressed rapidly? That's a neat sound it should be a key up sound for the two ways. 🙂

Sticky keys is the devil, and it only interrupts when you're in the middle of a major gunfight or something like that in game. 🙁

I used to do it all hte time too. I think you can turn it off if you hold shift for another 8 secs. I hate how when it asks you if you want to turn it on and you hit cancel it still does...

didn't work on those lab computers. And yes, I never knew which option to pick because they all do the same thing...

The switch on my backspace key is sticky... I've cleaned it well and it's the internal mechanism of the microswitch or something cause it still sticks. It sucks because I just mean to erase a couple of letters and sometimes it will backspace a whole line or so before I can unstick it... drives me nuts, but not nuts enough to remember to bring home a new keyboard 🙂

I hate sticky keys... right now I have a different sticky key problem... just spilt Absinth on my laptop. Now everything in the lower right corner is perma-on. So any advice on cleaning laptops would alos be appreciated.

This reminds me it would be cool to have a keyboard sitting in a sandbox with each keystation actuator comprising of a roller-lever omron deflection disc based microswitch. Typing on that would be reminiscent of an old Olympia or Royal machine. 😀

ah lol, that's what I get for skimming

No problem.. But it really does suck, both types of sticky keys.. whats the point of sticky keys anyway? As far as I can tell it's there to stop you pressing a key repeatedly even though thats what you want to do.

No. I read it... started reading another thread... forgot what this one was about then posted this response... Not sarcasm so much as flakiness. Though, after consideration I don't really care what the thread is about and am satisfied with my post as it stands. 😛
