The people that flaunt everything they have, or have a tacky sense of bling, are new money and have no class. Most likely, they never will as money does not buy class. That, or they're fronting.

People who have gotten rich off of others' suffering
People who scam to get rich
People who don't give anything back but have tons and tons of money
People who feel they are entitled to make more than others

No:
People made their own wealth
People responsible with their fortunes
Honest and hard working who have made a lot of money

First of all let me say that if you earned what you have more power to you. But there is a certain class of people that feel the need to flaunt everything amongst the peons out there, hoping to impress everyone with their tacky sense of self worth and otherwise faux character in these troubled times. I find those types of people to be extremely annoying and quite worthy of scorn....scorn I say!

I've found that there are two economic groups which have more assholes than most. Old money and old welfare. Both seem to feel entitled, and other than the clothes, you couldn't tell them apart.

Generally? I don't care how much (or little) someone is worth. Their value as a human is not tied to their income.

I know several "rich" people, one worth over 100 million, and they're all extremely nice people.

Rich people in general are nicer than poor people.

I hate stuck up snobbish rich people. I also tend to have people who are politically really far to the right. Add those 2 together and I end up hating a lot of rich people. But no I don't hate rich people on principal or anything. There are some gems amongst the steaming piles of crap, some genuinely very nice humble, giving rich people. I've met one or two but they aren't that common.

I don't hate rich people. What I do hate is people who pretend to be rich when you damn well know it's all "paid" for by the good people at Visa. A few of those in my family. Growing up, my dad's cousin always flaunted her wealth. They had a bigger house than we did, and a better car. The laugh is my parents had a higher income.

That's a true perspective. My only experience dealing with a welfare queens was as a Pharmacy tech while in college at the local Walgreens. Most demanding bitchiest customers were in fact medicare and the obvious trust fund junkies. One Queen even had the audacity during a busy time to tell me "what's takin' so long, don't chew know I got the best insurance there is?" uh yeah I guess she has a point.
