Quite often. I eat what I want when and where I want it with who I want. Because FU.

I actually prefer eating alone in public or at the very least people like me; dont have to put on a fake face and play stupid social games.

OP, you feel weird, like a loser for a good reason...:p

Yes, I have no problem eating by myself in a restaurant. When I worked on the road, I did it all the time.

Just got back from having a late breakfast, by myself. I always feel weird/like a loser when I go to a restaurant alone. But that is far outweighed by the fact that I do not cook at all (hate cooking with a passion) and it's relatively inexpensive for one person to eat out.

Your turn.

EDIT: In this thread, "restaurant" means a "sit-down" place with waiter service.

Would consider this normal for breakfast/lunch, going to dinner by yourself is more weird.

Can't think of the last time, so I'll go with Never even though I know I have in the past but I can't really say rarely because I can't remember the last time.

I do it when I travel for work and feeling like a nice meal. This is usually not more than once each 3-4 nights travel.

If I'm out of town on work or vacationing by myself, then yes. Though I don't do either very often.

This is true. FOr some reason, dinner is more "intimate" and feels even weirder when you're alone.

It only feels weird if you make it feel weird. It does not feel weird to me at all. /shrug

I assume you don't go to movies by yourself?

Going to the movies by yourself, for me anyway, sucks. I love being able to leave the movie and discuss with someone why that was the biggest pile of dog doodoo I've ever seen or "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY" best movie evar!!!!! Doing this with a random stranger seems to be awkward, I dunno.

This is the right attitude. Fuck what other people think

I travel for work all the time so I do this all the time, and feeling awkward about it never would have occurred to me.

I'll go to something like a burger or a pizza place and eat by myself. I'll usually do something on my laptop while I'm eating. I treat it sort of like a coffee shop, except with food.

I'd feel weird eating at a proper restaurant by myself.

Last year I ate at home maybe 2-4 meals. I eat out pretty much every day and 90% of those times, I'm by myself.

As a teenager getting fast food, yes. As an adult at a sit down restaurant, never.

I have yet to do it, but I'm going to a conference in Alexandria this August by myself, so I'll have to do it. Should be interesting. :p
