do you get Jelly of other people?

If so, what is it they usually have that you don't? Money, cars, women, happiness,...faster video card?

Not really. No matter what you have, you get used to it and think little of it, in essence, it's often that most people are never always happy no matter what they physically possess.
I envy some people, but never jelly.

I see people my age who seem farther along in life than I am. They own a home, have kids. Then I remind myself that they're up to their eyeballs in debt so I'm cool with it.

I once had a client who at 13 years old was give $500K from his wealthy parents for a startup. By 17 he turned that into a $12 million company which he sold. He had several luxury homes around the country. Kinda humbling meeting a teenager with millions in his bank account.

Making money is a lot easier when you have money to start with.

It's human nature to be envious of others. I will be lying if I said I didn't get little jealous once in awhile. Some of the people I know are extremely rich. I'm not talking low 7 figures rich. 7 figures are small pocket money to these people. But I'm not doing so bad myself. Everything is relative so it's all good.

i used to when younger. hell i would work 50-60+ hours a week trying to earn the mighty dollar so i could keep up with others.

for what? a nicer shiny car? a large house i would never use it all? fuck that.

now i don't get jealous of people. i see the debt, the amount of work, the stress and i enjoy my life more.

I have a nice house, decent cars and enough money to let my kids do what they enjoy.

yeah also he was from a rich and probably academic and/or entrepreneurial family, so that helps in using the money correctly.
Many poor people would mess up even if they received the money to start with.

yes to a degree, but not anywhere close to a point where it affects my mood/actions like it does other people

of course I am jealous of various peoples' wealth and intellect, but I know that everyone is different. There are a lot more people in this world that are worse off than I am so I appreciate what I have and make the best out of it

I don't jelly for I am a hater. For one to have a lot of one thing, they would have to give up a lot of another.

No, I'm quite content with my situation. A lot of people have more than we do, and a whole lot of people have less - and much of the time, on both sides, they have done nothing to deserve their position.

Have a good job, a place to live, a reliable car, great friends... can't think of anything to be jealous about.

Yep. I wish I had a million in the bank. I could quit and live off $70k-ish per year from dividends somewhat comfortably. I could work relatively crappy shit jobs to live luxuriously.

As for jelly... Not really. I don't give a shit about anyone at work cause they probably all hate their jobs too -- just hearing the bitching, bitterness, stories. I'm jelly of celebrities who get rich doing what they love.

If you mean jealous, not quite. I am quite envious when I see another woman which isn't disabled, is healthy, and is obviously stable financially (decent car). That's about it. I don't care for money or wonderful looks, I just want what most people take for granted these days. I wanna be average, dammit! 😡 😀 😛

IMO, making the best out of what you have makes a person far above average. Most people have a lot of potential and do nothing with it.

who comes up with stupid expressions like "jelly?"
I thought it was just another one of the myriad of terms young internet boys like.

Them internet kids, they like their silly obfuscations of words. 😕

nah

I am jealous of youth. Kids dont know good good they have it. Take high school for instance. Most kids hate it but after the age of 40 I would go back to high school in a heartbeat without sounding too much like wooderson...

I'm not jelly, I just have very high aspiration. There are certain things I want in life, and those are self-imposed standards. 😎
