I idolize those that are leagues above me. There may be some jelliness, but overall I just want to bow to them. When I meet someone that is on an entirely different level from most others, I create ridiculous fantasies of their accomplishments and imagine their progeny becoming commonplace in the distant future.

Yup. Every single person in my life is better off than me.

I used to avoid facebook because I had no friends, and telling people that I just don't use it was a good way to avoid explaining why I only have 60 friends on there (though I'm sure people knew). Now I try to go on there to try and change things, and I just get depressed as soon as I load the first page.

Not really. I don't give a shit what others are doing as long as they keep their nose out of my bidness.

Nope, the people that gloat and want people to be jelly of them probably have much bigger problems they're hiding and trying to account for.

A little envious of the property that my son got - helped him move in Friday. 2 huge stocked ponds - I can't quite cast to the middle of them. One has a long bridge out to an island with two big trees. He's putting the hammock I bought for him between the trees. Really nice rope swing on one of the trees out over the pond. Really nice log cabin uphill from the ponds, on a gentle slope. Open floor plan, 2 bedrooms upstairs, and a full-sized walk-out basement below. The only things for him that sucks is mowing. 48" deck = 4 hours of mowing. The lawn is beautiful, but HUGE. Not bad for a 21 year old & his 20 year old girlfriend. (take note, you ATOTers living in your parents' basement...) 15 minutes out of the city he works in; can't wait to go up there this fall & hunt with him.

I'm an adult. I don't get "jelly" about anything.

Might I be envious of someone? Perhaps...but "jelly" is just fucking retarded.

What I don't envy: mowing his lawn.

(That's not all of his lawn; there's more by the other pond.)

Yeah I am a scorpio and it kind of comes with the territory. (don't be jelly of my loose astrology belief)

However, I have lived most of my life content with how many material things I have. My jealousy usually stems from emotional wealth. I think my mainly lusted after material possession are cars.
