Do you get abnormally carded when going to a bar?

i get carded 95% of the time, whether its liquer, gambling, or tobacco...and I'm gonna be 24 in 2 weeks

i havent been to many bars, (im 18), but i NEVER get carded when buying tobacco, ammo, movie tix, etc...i've never tried anything that requires you to be 21 tho :\

I usually just bust out my ID automatically when buying alcohol, although I do look older than I used to since I grew a mustache and goatee. I'm 23 BTW.

I remember one time a few years back when I still smoked (quit over a year ago) and the clerk at 7-11 gave me a mini-lecture about smoking. WTF? I felt like I was in Clerks (those who have seen the movie will know what I mean).

There was another time when I was in high school and my brother and I went to see "People Vs. Larry Flynt". I was 17 at the time and my brother told me to go wait somewhere else while he got our tickets (he was 19 at the time). Well, the lady at the window said "She doesn't look 18", in reference to me. I had my back turned to the window and I had my hair well past my shoulders at the time.
