Sushi doesn't mean raw meat, it means "pickled rice". You can put many, many things in a sushi plate.

I like my sushi, but it definitely does not give me a high. It might make me feel full (and that in itself makes me feel happy), but it doesn't give me a buzz of any sort.

10 ounces of japanese kobe is a lot. the $250 is perhaps an exaggeration.

I can't eat anything with soy sauce (has wheat in it), so the food I can eat there is pretty limited. I stick to the sushi and plain white rice. No butter.
 
I like sushi, but I prefer sashimi. When eating sashimi, I much prefer Korean sashimi over Japanese sashimi. I prefer my fish to be alive when they cut it.

I don't get "high" from eating sushi or sashimi but I do crave it if I go too long without eating it. I can eat sushi or sashimi everyday. One of the few foods I don't get tired of.
