Those of us who have seen The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring know what an amazing director Peter Jackson is. When I learned that there apparently was to be a sequel, I was overjoyed. However, Peter Jackson has decided to tastelessly name the sequel "The Two Towers". The title is clearly meant to refer to the attacks on the World Trade Center. In this post-September 11 world, it is unforgiveable that this should be allowed to happen. The idea is both offensive and morally repugnant. Hopefully, when Peter Jackson and, more importantly, New Line Cinema see the number of signatures on this petition, the title will be changed to something a little more sensitive.

face it, people are just stupid, today's laws and regulations fit around stupid people and that is why the stupid people population doubles every oh lets say 5 days (bein sarcastic here).

when i heard the name "The Two Towers" i was reminded of the WTC but that is because i never actually read Lord Of The Rings or The Hobbit.

i sent an email to the guy who started the petition expaining why it is stupid and i compared it to being offended by the theme of The Flintstones because it includes the words "we'll have a gay old time"

speaking of which, why can't we all have a good GAY time here? :D

I particularly like this line. The number of signatures is currently 276, which means that 1 in every 22.5 million people thinks the title of the movie should be changed. Not gonna happen. :D
