I just read this for the first time. This is the most entertaining thread I have followed in a while, LOL. I have one question though. Is there really some question as to what Tolkien was refering to when he named the book.

I always figured it refered to Suron's stronghold Minus Morgul (sp?) and Saurman's stronghold Orthnac? Afterall, it seems the most logical assumption, as they are the two towers that cause the deepest emotions- albeit emotions of dread. Am I wrong in assuming this? or does it matter?
