Do you ever have dreams about not being able to enter numbers?

I keep having dreams where I have to enter numbers into a passkey system or a phone. I know the numbers, but I just never enter them correctly. I often have some kind of time limit, like I'm being chased by someone or something.

I wouldn't really give it any thought, except for the fact that I have these dreams a few times per month or more. Do you ever have them?

Reminds me of a friend a few hundred miles away, I set him up with all his business computers, network, servers and such. He is locked out of his main mobile computer in a panic. Can't log in. I calmly go through his password with him and help him "discover" his faulty keyboard.😛

According to dream analysis, punching numbers could signify that you are a closet homosexual... Just a thought.

It may be a left brain right brain sort of situation. The left side of the brain is in charge of all math skills and communication while the right provides imagination and intuition in to whether its worth it to do certain things, does it make sense, etc. etc. Could just be one of those sort of conflicts

So how did you deal with it? Did you swallow your pride and come on out, or did you just sit there and take the pounding stress, over and over again?

Don't remember ever having a dream like that... but I tend to not remember any of my dreams.

I rememer at least one dream every night. Often more.

Some times, but lately I have dreams in which I'm dying.

They are the best I've ever had.

Sometimes if I get woken up (rather than waking up on my own) I can remember for a short period of time, but unless I force myself to think about them, I've lost all track of what it was about within a few minutes. 🙁

I had a dream where I got stabbed. There was a big weight on my chest, like my breathing was heavy. I woke up to find my cat sleeping on me and purring.

Definitely a relief...well, if you can call the 20lb cat sitting on a 9 year old's chest "relief." 😛

You're 9? THat explains everything 😉

I had a dream where I can't remember my parents' faces and it bothers the crap out of me. I go around tearing my hair out, "What kind of kid can't remember his parents' faces?" In my dream, I run around my house, looking for pictures/videos and the sort but nothing comes up.

It drove me nuts, that dream.

I didn't say I had the dream recently. It's just burned into my memory because it's the only dream (that I'm aware of) where I was dying.

My coolest dream was storming Normandy. That was like an uber realistic FPS and it was quasi lucid.

😀

Thinking back to my younger years, I seem to remember a recurring dream about being in some sort of alternative reality where even though I was outside, everything was perfectly white and smooth. Kind of like if apple designed an iPlanet. On iPlanet, I would be walking around (and acutally I looked like one of these guys but white and smooth too... like an iJello) and be lost.

So iJello on iPlanet would walk around lost until I came to an area that had some dirt / garbage and then all around me the whole place slowly became darker and dirtier until I was surrounded on all sides by hills of grime and waste.

Yeah... so that's what I remember 😀

Ever have dreams that come true?

Some times I will have a strong feeling of deja vu, I know what is going to happen the moment before it happens. To the point of knowing exactly what people are going to say or do. After it happens I will remember it was part of a dream that I had a few days/weeks/months/years ago.

Only thing that sucks is that it's pretty much useless. It happens too fast for me to "change things" and it's just every day stuff, nothing super hero worthy. Doesn't happen as much now that I'm older, some times I wonder why.

It scares me though, I'm worried that dreams where people I know dying might come true.

I used to have that happen a lot, but then I figured out that it only really happened to me when I was kind of out of it / tired. I think I read somewhere that it might be caused by some timing issues with how you perceive reality when you're getting tired. Maybe I'm making that up, I don't know 😛

I like that idea better than the thought of watching people die twice.

"Many theorists believe that the memory anomaly occurs when one's conscious mind has a slight delay in receiving perceptive input. In other words, the unconscious mind perceives current surroundings before the conscious mind does. This causes one's conscious self to perceive something that is already in one's memory, even though it was in one's memory only a split second before it was perceived."

Yes, I have had dreams where I've had to do the same thing because I'm being chased or running out of time. Usually I fail to enter the numbers or flip a switch or open a door and I start to panic and then I usually wake up when time runs out. I think it's because of stress 🙁

No.

A "happy ending" is where your girlfriend wakes you up and she's purring.
