Do you drink something with all your meals?

I must have water when I'm eating, or directly after. It's strange. I actually cannot stand to not have water with food. I don't really ever drink other things unless I'm drinking alcohol.

i gulp down a ridiculous amount of liquid when eating.

Same.

I think some waiters think I am messing with them somehow because they have to refill my diet coke or ice tea every 3 minutes. Some of them eventually bring me a pitcher!

nope.

I almost never eat/drink at the same time... I like a nice 10-15 minute break after I stop eating before I start drinking anything.

Wine with dinner. Nothing with the other meals unless you count the water or tea I drink after the meal, but it's not "together" with the meal - like chewing on food and then taking a gulp of the drink. No, it's usually drinking once all the chewing is done

milk for dinner?

wtf, are you Mongolian?

That was the tradition when I was growing up. Now, I don't drink anything /with/ dinner. I always drink something afterward though. If I'm provided a drink(say at a fastfood joint), it sits until I finish eating, and I then I drink it. At home, my drinks of choice are unsweetened tea, tap water, or seltzer water. I never drink milk anymore unless it has Ovaltine in it. I do that sometimes as a dessert.

I drink water throughout the day. I don't drink any liquids during lunch or dinner. I don't know why, but I've always thought that the digestive system absorbs nutrients more effectively when they are not diluted in vast amounts of liquid.

You know that the body requires vast amounts of liquids in order to absorb nutrients, right?

maybe it's just an old wives tale, but I had always been told that if you eat/drink at the same time, the liquid helps flush food through your stomach faster and you feel hungry again sooner.

Coffee with breakfast, wine with dinner if it's with my mother. I won't go out of my way to get wine for myself if I'm alone though. Most days at work I just keep refilling my bottle of water as needed throughout the day, so I don't bother getting a drink with lunch. Why spend on shitty sugar-water anyway?

If you drink before and during a meal, it makes you feel full faster and you tend to not overeat. Drinking liquids does assist in digestion, but, technically, it does not make you feel hungry faster because you digest better.

My office provides free Diet Snapple and Coke Zero, so I almost always have something to drink with lunch (and throughout the day).

You drink milk with every dinner soda when you go out? What are you 7?

I drink water with everything now and my occasional soda's have turned into beers now...

Though when I'm hungover anything goes -- soda, juice, tea, whatever it takes!

whats so odd about drinking milk with dinner? its what i normally drink whem im at home, sometimes water sometimes juice sometimes beer, most often its milk

whem im out its water + whatever im drinking normally soda or beer

Water, milk, soda, sometimes cider or wine. Depends on the meal and what I feel like having, but I always have something to drink with meals.

I think so, or if not with it right aftwards.
Usually water, milk, soda, some type of lemonade, or other random juice mixture.
