N00bs!

Isn't that a bit harsh considering that there are many people who don't dream in color?

not a NOOb... been computing since 1978, was on the ARPANET in 1980's, BBS's and the Internet as soon as it was publicly available...

Anandtech isn't the end all and be all of the computing universe. Snob!

Not everyone dreams in color... quite a bit of people think they do. You don't really know for sure until you actually, vividly remember something of a specific color from a dream. Like I could say "oh I had a dream last night and I remember doing such and such" so reformulating that in my mind now causes it to imagine it normally (i.e. in color). Hence why almost everyone thinks they dream in color, because reminiscing the dreams while awake will recreate them in color unless you "specify" not to.

My current ID here is dated one year after yours, but that doesn't take into account my lost ID that was in place many years ago either. Things get fouled up when you've gone through as many ISP's as I have. In case you haven't noticed there has been much consolidation in that area.

Whenever I realize I'm in a dream I know I have a few minutes left to have sex with every hot girl in my path before I wake up. This leads to some hilarious results.

I don't think you can dream in color.

Think of a color. Can you really imagine a color? Do you really see that color in your thoughts?

Color is not a thought or image in your head... it is a frequency of photons received by your eye.

Yeah well, so you dont have colored memories? Memories = Dreams to me... yes I remember colors, but there are many dreams which seem to have a specific "tone"... I remember a dream that was mostly sepia, another one mostly pink (very weird I know), but there are fully colored ones too

I've been watching specific movies to fall asleep, because they give me the best dreams. I was hooked on Aliens for the longest while, literally watched it every night for 2-3 months, and then i actually got 'addicted' to it. I would wake up when the movie ended, and would need to replay the movie to fall back asleep in the middle of the night!

Last night i watched Animatrix, and dreamt i was on the machine side in the Matrix.

I dream in color all the time, and I remember most of them

My friend actually practices Lucid Dreaming. He says it works, but I don't believe him.

Lucid dreaming is real, and you can practice it. I did it for a little while years ago (the exercises... i still lucid dream occasionally).

I have very vivid, lucid dreams. One's that I can often control and almost always recall in great detail when I wake up.

exactly the same with me!

So do I, but the HDMI spec forces me to comply with DRM standards so I can't recall my dreams without paying tribute to Sony. :(

It took me a minute to think of an example, but I know that I dream in color. The example was a dream when I was trying to steal stuffed animals from one of those hook-crane things you find in restaurants and the toys were surrounded by very bright infrared and ultra-violet orbs, which burned my skin and gave me cancer before waking up. Had no idea that there were people that didn't.
