(and that's just the ones with an identical thread title)

more proof that the search engine on this site doesn't work
i searched for karma and i got abotu 4 hits and none of them were asking if you believed in karma

Those are all archived and, IIRC, the search doesn't bring up archived threads.

Yes! I think most people get paid back in some way for the things they do, whether they be good or bad! :D

I always hear people say or read that "so-and-so will get what they deserve in the end" or something to that effect.

Do you really think thats true? If someone did something bad to you and you don't do anything back, do you just think that somehow they'll have something bad happen to them eventually because of this event?

it sounds like a load of BS to me. its like people who don't stand up for themselves are the people who say things like this.

Yeah I do, what's wrong with believing in that? You gotta believe in something... and if you aren't you are just fooling yourself...

Karma is a lot like probability and I believe in probability so yes I believe in Karma. Something bad will eventually come back to you most likely if you do bad and vice versa.

Sorta. If not in this life, I believe assholes and those who purposely harm others will get theirs in the next life.

If people don't do good things for others, there is nobody there that will do good things for them.

I can agree with that...yeah.

Repost, and 'karma' is idiotic. So many people have gotten away with so much. Anyone who believes in 'karma' is simply buying into a comforting lie.

Karma has nothing to do with the laws of man. They may have escaped the law but yo uhave no idea hwo they have suffered or been tormented in other ways you assume. Karma != courst system justice.

No, that's BS. It's just a comforting platitude created by someone who was wronged. There is no reason to believe it's a 'law of the universe'

reaping what you sow is definitely a law of the universe. try it out sometime.

Proof? Evidence?!

It's well known the dinosaurs were polyamorous sodomites when that asteroid came along. It's just a plain simple fact.

I believe in God and his judgment.

I do not believe in Karma as some system of automatic retribution that exists without any intelligence or guiding hand.

I feel that the typical western understanding of Karma is usually pretty screwed up or otherwise incomplete. Or rather it may be better to say that the western take on Karma is not the same as a more classical/orthodox understanding from the East.

As such I don't buy into how many of us westerners look at Karma, but as a half-assed practicing Buddhist for years now I do recognize the Buddhist view of karma - well what I understand of it.

Now THAT I like!
;)

But seriously, yeah, I believe that what comes around goes around.

I don't believe it. There are way too many evil people who never see any kind of justice for their actions, and there are many people who have very tragic things happen to them, yet did nothing to deserve that kind of punishment.

I believe in the age old expression - "life isn't fair".

:music:

Desert loving in your eyes all the way
If I listen to your lies would you say
Im a man without conviction
Im a man who doesnt know
How to sell a contradiction
You come and go
You come and go

Karma karma karma karma karma chameleon
You come and go
You come and go
Loving would be easy if your colors were like my dream
Red, gold and green
Red, gold and green

Didnt hear your wicked words every day
And you used to be so sweet I heard you say
That my love was an addiction
When we cling our love is strong
When you go youre gone forever
You string along
You string along

Every day is like a survival
Youre my lover not my rival
Every day is like a survival
Youre my lover not my rival

Im a man without conviction
Im a man who doesnt know
How to sell a contradication
You come and go
You come and go

I think enough people have joked about karma for so long that the gullible have actually started to believe there is such a thing.
