After watching, the Ties video on YouTube. I was very impressed with the story accompanied with the not so bad song. I decided to do some searching and came across this YouTube video. It claims that the clips are unedited, but I think all of them are probably 'chopped.

However, that doesn't mean that I'm not a believer. I've had some experiences in the past that , still to this day, I cannot find a valid explanation besides hallucinating.

No. The spirits of dead people are in Hades (speaking of Biblical Hades, a holding place or realm where the souls/spirits of people wait), and for them it's like being in really deep sleep. No consciousness, no sensation of the passing of time, no interaction or presence at all in the physical world. All dead people will be resurrected into newly formed and immortal bodies at the end of the last day, and will either go to face judgment or to a ceremony of rewards. One leads to eternity in hell, one leads to eternity in heaven.

No to ghosts, unicorns, sasquatch, the Loch Ness Monster, God, Santa Claus, alien autopsies and all other products of delusional minds.

The first video is easily one of the best YouTube videos I've seen. It even got some people to tear up. The second video is just a mish-mash of most probably 'chopped clips.

ghosts, vampires, werewolves and any other paranormal nonsense is just that: nonsense. They are fake. Not real. Never existed and never will.

deal with it.

If you choose to believe, that's your call, but when I lived in Danville CA from ages 6-10 I lived in fear every night. From the first night we moved in, I would hear the classic chains rattling and noises outside my window (Only in my room did this ever happen). Just about every night I would wake up in the sweats from bad nightmares. One instance I remember, waking up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. As I opened my eyes I saw a ghost of some sort floating in the doorway. It was weird, it just sat there and looked at me. No noise, no sounds at all, just floating there. Being a kid, I thought if I closed my eyes and just walked through him he couldn't hurt me. On the way to my doorway I tripped on something and bashed my eye on the footboard of my bed which created a huge gash (Still have the scar) on my left eye. My dad woke me up in the morning freaking out because my face was covered in blood. I told him what happened but of course he didn't believe me.

My older sister said almost on a nightly basis she could hear me screaming from upstairs (My room was on the first floor). Only one other time, that I could remember, seeing another ghost but always heard the noises. I pretty much grew used to them over time. After we moved out of that house, I never had nightmares again and never heard anymore noises. Possibly someone had died either in that room or outside, I'm not sure.

True story.

You mean like video? No. This was about 20 years ago.

Ghosts? Bah.

I remember when I first moved to Vermont, the then president of UVM's newspaper explained to me that he had just returned from a trip to some Civil War sites and felt gypped because he paid the full $35 admission price and didn't see a single ghost.

Shortly thereafter, I dismissed the entire Vermont education system.

I saw one once. I still get the chills just thinking about it. I'd rather not discuss it though.

I hold a firm stance on the subject of ghosts, one where I completely think they exist. I've had experiences, ones that now give me goosebumps and just downright give me chills whenever I am in my house alone because I know there is at least one ghost that frequents my house (or at least frequented, haven't seen or heard anything out of the ordinary, but I live here about a third of the year now.. and it wasn't daily when I did see/hear things).
i've seen shadows out of the corner of my eye, heard random noises (which coupled with the frequent creaking of the old wood in this nearly 80 year old house doesn't exactly help the imagination, I understand that much), and even heard my name called in a very unfamiliar voice (coupled with the fact that it came from the direction of my parents bedroom, the master bedroom, and the family was downstairs while I was in the bathroom. The sound was very easy to locate). The most unnerving experience, was when I was playing with our mini-vhs video camera, and it picked up 'interference' (was watching the flip-out lcd display). I was just kind of spinning in a circle in my parents bedroom, and the first time I directed it at the one corner, it picked up interference that did not fill the whole frame, but rather, just a portion (say, an oval shape, for easy reference) of the frame. But it stayed stationary, so as I passed, it moved across the frame. But the next time I pointed the camera to the corner, it wasn't there, but rather as I continued to move around the room, it was in another spot. That creeped me out and I turned the camera off. btw, it wasn't recording, of course... had no tape in it. To this day, I wish I did... but either it wouldn't have recorded that interference, it would have been heralded by critics and nonbelievers as merely interference, or it would have been described as faked. You can't win against the nonbelievers. ;)

btw, I refuse to believe in religion or any deity in general. Firmly atheist, nor do I believe in any sort of 'afterlife' or heaven or hell. But, due to the whole unknown part of science, I don't really know how to approach the idea of what the hell happens when we die. I think everything about our behavior and everything is very much simply controlled by what has been bred in us and is merely a collection of nerve endings grouped in certain patterns. However, it is so hard to believe that we just 'turn off' when we die, especially due to the fact that I believe in ghosts. I believe ghosts can be 'evil' due to the same facts that humans can be 'evil' in our present life, and it has nothing to do with demons. However, people seeing weird shapes and whatnot brings up the question of, was it truly experienced or hallucinated. So many questions, so very little understanding.

I am confused myself, as I believe in ghosts, but don't really think there is even a possibility of your 'soul' or personality living on after death, as everything we are and know is contained in our body, a collection cells working together.. nothing magical at all.

however, I am also able to comfortably avoid that realization by bringing into the equation parallel universes or something of that nature. ;)
I honestly believe such a thing could very much exist, maybe it's a way to explain dark matter. Hell, now I'm simply talking out of my ass as I attempt to piece together and type down how I think about things. But, who knows, maybe ghosts are merely how we see the living things of a parallel universe, so maybe weird 'creatures' that anybody might see are simply normal, living creatures (that look like how people see them here, just... alive, and not here). Is this making any sense to anyone? lol
now, this might not explain why people can have personal ties to some paranormal experiences, or why they sometimes are so convenient with the history of certain locations... maybe the souls (i hate that, i don't believe in souls at all, but am still spouting off as if they are something material) pass over to the parallel universe and are reborn their? i dunno. now I am completely bullshitting. hmm, time to draft up a new religion and write a book about it! Surely I can make some personality tests and get a church established somewhere for this new religion!

I'm haunted by the pig that I ate the bacon from on my subway sub with chicken and bacon earlier. :frown:

Well, maybe I'm haunted by the chicken, too.

Or maybe it's just indigestion from the jalapeños I had on it haunting me.

I keep singing "Do you believe in magic?" everytime I see this topic title.

Frustrating.

And no, I don't believe in ghosts.
