I am a firm believer in life after death. Do you guys believe in an afterlife? Do you think you will be held accountable by some greater being for your actions in this world? Let's hear ATOT.

Read this book.
It's not written from any religious viewpoint if that's what you mean. It's based on years of research.Originally posted by: Gurck

Doesn't look very appealling, is it writtin in a zealous fashion?

It's a good, thought-provoking read even if you disagree with it.Originally posted by: Gurck

Still wary, there's a lot of interpretation involved in something like that. Might check it out from the library.

Absolutely. No doubt whatsoever.
What if the whole show is run by some deity who sends you wherever you think you ought to go? You're kinda screwed then. It's not like it takes any "mental effort" to believe in something anyway... I believe in New Jersey even though I've never been there. It's not like I have to periodically stop during the day and concentrate on believing in New Jersey.Originally posted by: Astaroth33
I look at it this way: There either is an afterlife or there is not. My explicit belief will not matter, so I choose not to waste mental effort.
