not sure what the death penalty has to do with this case but I believe that in most if not all states it can only be exercised if another crime is committed at the same time of the capital offense. primarily because their were mountains of PHYSICAL evidence linking him to it and he got away with it. That aside, a moronic jury of 12 retards based their findings on things like there being a chance it was someone elses DNA. Some of them didn't fully understand DNA even after the hours of lecturing.. some thought that the 1 in 60 billion or whatever it is chance of it not being his DNA qualified for reasonable doubt..
