Do the IBM 60GB 60GXP series have problems?

yep my IBM drive now is acting up. making scratching sounds and sounds it's not suppose to. 60GXP. I had a 75GXP before that that died. 2 drives in a year about maybe 2 years is insane.
 
I got a 60gig 60GXP last month. Its been working fine so far. Im using it as a backup drive incase it does start to act up.
