Do tech forums have better grammar than other forums?

Maybe Anandtech is special, but I've read a few non tech forums and I catch a lot more grammatical errors. Apparently people don't just care. Am I too used to ATOT, where it's half expected for someone to be a grammar nazi? Posters here also seem to have a sharper wit, which I enjoy.

On the flip side, I do appreciate ATOT more. I RAWR! you guys

You have it tough! Some people don't even need to try, they naturally fail at English.

Believe it or not, AT is more adult than many tech forums. Some are populated by enthusiast "kids", and they either don't care, or never learned proper English. They can provide useful information, but sometimes it's painful to read. I think we have a good group here, and even the young guys at least try to put in some effort at clear communication :^)

I don't think it's tech forums that have good grammar, it's forums where the majority of people are older that have good grammar. Places like bladeforums or calguns or zombiesquad have good grammar and they're not tech forums, but they do have more older people than 12 year olds.

The problem with this hole discussion is that english is a completely fluid language and know one is wright to say that it should be spoken in a specific way, For example I might argue for the "english" way being the right way, as opposed to the american way, others may disagree, but at the end of the day, it's not static. It changes every day, words change meanings, spillings change and we have to live and adapt, If we all just sit their and say your doing it wrong my way is wright, your just being facetious no one person or even nation owns the english language, it is free to be adopted by anyone and used however they see fit.

Just watch the video on this page, and you'll hear the most articulate man, a master of the english language explain his feelings about it, in a far better manner than I ever could and I agree with him whole-heartedly. If I didn't I'd spend all my time on this forum complaining about American's "butchering" the english language, which you aren't you are simply making it your own, as it should be.
