Do smokers really bother you?

Florida - Clean Air Act. No smoking in establishments that are considered restaurants. Its great. As for outside, it doesn't happen too much around here where I notice it and its annoying. What does bug is when people smoke where they aren't supposed to, like in line at theme parks where I can't escape from it.

Its none of your fucking business what other people do with their bodies.

Fucking self righteous pricks and their moral crusades. Fuck you.

Die in a fire!!! I'd prefer you didn't get the fumes in my lungs though, k?

Whats so funny is you haven't addressed what everyone else has said in this thread. We get so much more crap in the air from Cars and daily pollution that its kind of funny you single out smokers. Do you live in an urban setting? If so, kindly STFU.

Yet, none of that almost ever affects me in the same way cigarette smoke does. -_-

And it's completely unsurprising with the amount of propaganda in schools today... it's even harsher than when I was in school.

Yes, if I am beside them. My first time trying to enjoy eating on a patio, I had to head back inside because of the smoking (I should have known since my city bans smoking indoors). Walking behind them is annoying too.

At the same time, I will admit that I love the smell of certain brands of cigarettes (second hand only), and the smell it leaves on smokers' clothes. If only they weren't cancerous.

Yes, and not just their smoking, but their mannerisms. All their small ticks, like how they feel entitled to 7+ smoke breaks during the work day because they "need" to smoke.

Smokers smell like shit.

first thing we've probably ever agreed on.

as far as the OP's question. i don't voice my opinion to smoker's irl unless they ask. my mother smokes, my sister smokes. they don't make me smell their smoke. we love and deal with each other like any family does.

I enjoy the smell of Djarum Blacks. A large portion of my friends smoke, and I generally smell like smoke when I hang with them; just apply some cologne of some sort and shut up.

if theres signs up, i agree with ya. tell em to put it out or get the park guys to do it. if its not posted, and "allowed", stfu or take the chance in asking them to stop. i dotn smoke in lines like that, but thats just me. once i walked away to smoke while in a line at a concert and a lady walked up and asked me to stop, it was getting in her kids carriage. she was around a corner a few feet away and i didnt even see her, but i stopped anyway. smokers arent all assholes (like all the rabid nonsmoker crusaders), talk to us and we are pretty understandable. if you approach us without being dicks.

Ohio doesn't allow smoking inside. Everyone in our offices smokes in their own offices. I guess if it really bothers me; I am free to find a new job.

I believe the OP to be the same guy that disagrees with gay marriage and abortion. He feels he needs to make decisions for other people in order to feel better about him self. I believe him to also be a self righteous prick.

I rather think there is much more pollutants locally in a cloud of cigarette smoke than all the sources of industrial+automotive pollution dispersed throughout the atmosphere.

You can see and smell the particulates in a cloud of cigarette smoke. I am unlikely to position myself over an industrial smoke stack and only get their effects after they have dispersed.

I smoke... and deduct the time to takes me to do from my alloted lunch/break time. Funny though, the people who whip out theor personal planners and spend 2 hrs a day on the phone
scheduling doctor's apoointments, hair and dental appointments, conferencing with their kid's teacher and/or taking multiple calls from home don't ever seem to say"hey I'll work thru lunch today,I used my lunch time making and receiving personal phone calls while I stuck the smoker with my workload"

I don't deduct the time but I only take two or three a day, 5-7 minutes each, and work my ass off the rest of the day. Not everyone abuses it.

No, they don't bother me. If it's decent tobacco, I like the smell. And if they're outside, you really have no right to complain - 1 breath of second-hand smoke isn't going to hurt you, and you're not going to stink.

smoking rocks. just another one of lifes pleasures. can't you complain about something valid like fat people or the over-priviledged.

If I'm driving and the person in front of me is smoking with their windows down, I can smell it even with my windows up, unless I put the HVAC on recirculate. Fucking disgusting habit.
