Not just some people, LOTS of people. A Toyota Corolla is the WORST car to rice up. I saw one today with a huge spoiler on it, and possibly a home made car kit. Rest was stock. What "community" is this guy trying to fit in?

I don't know, but I find something cool about not staying with the norm and rather customizing something to your own liking. So what if it looks funny, to them if it's their car and what they want then I am happy for them. Besides, some riced out cars look pretty f-in sweet.

A lot of them aren't customizing because they like it though. Some do it so that others will like them and think they are cool.

Okay homemade car kit is pretty bad, but hey it's a hobby for them. Maybe they're not doing it to impress people, they just like making things. Just like some people put neon lights in their computers.

Ricing your car is alot like wearing goth shite; eventually they'll grow out of it.

I don't know what some people are thinking.
They put spoilers on the worst cars in the worst way. Body kits, stupid mods, all kinds of sh!t.

I wanted to be a ricer in highschool (95-97) so bad, but there were very few parts for my 87 Prelude, so all I had was a loud stereo and a clamp on 3.5" muffler tip. This didn't make the exhaust any louder, but it looked "cool."

I remember seeing a 5" exhaust tip on an Integra in a theme park and said, "wow, this car must be fast!" I was also passed by a red Civic on the highway that said "HondaSport" on the back. I saw the sticker and instantly thought that it must have been modified somewhat since it just flew by me (I was doing the speed limit).

Sadly, these are true, and there's no sarcasm.

No more rice for me nowadays... I'm on Atkins. :p
