Those people must be on crack to think that looks cool! :disgust:

I'm more worried about a car accident with those. All that plastic flying off, might hit someone a few miles away.

That's not too bad. I don't know the purpose of the decal on the front driver side of the hood. The spoiler doesn't look to bad and I like those rims.

They proably don't care. Did you know people make fun of computer and computer gaming enthusiasts?

Yes, but the computer gaming enthusiasts don't care as long as they are accepted within their gaming community. What community does the ricer who is ricing up his 2002 Toyota Corolla belong to? Surely not the hardcore ricer community.

He belongs to the corolla community. I think a better topic would've been do ricers care if people make fun of them?

Some of them are so funny. I even like the Dodge Neon's with the back wing that sits 2 feet above the trunk lid. So funny.

For all the many people that don't like it, obviously there are enough people that DO like it, else it wouldn't be so popular. Anyways, I like certain riced out cars, I admit it and I don't care what some geek on ATOT thinks. :)

I see a truck all the time with a spoiler on the tail gate! I need to get a picture of it. It's purple, has some useless stickers, and that stupid spoiler.

Driving a riced out car is just not very presentable in many situations. For example, you goto an interview for a decent job in the coporate world, your interviewer sees your riced out honda with a huge spoiler with big powered by honda sticker across the windshield. I gaurantee you that he or she will not be too impressed.

This is analogous to wearing a pair of jeans and a t shirt to an important interview.

a lot of people wanna do stuff to their cars on the cheap, myself included, so in understand why people do it. but about the only mod i dont respect is the giant spoiler. its stupid. if you want to improve the look of your car for cheap, get a tint done. get lower springs. debadge it. that kinda thing. or taking one rice step up, get an exhaust system. get some stickers. it may not make you fast, but you get that boyracer image, which is cool to some. and i respect it to an extent. i admit its kinda dumb, but nowhere near as dumb as the huge aluminum wing sticking off your 120hp pos...

oh and is it just me or are the ground effects on the corolla S the worst EVAR?! coming stock, you'd think that they wouldnt look like that...

How bout those folks who think Chrome rims on a import looks good.. yuuck... but hey, they're usually white or latino for some reason. Also, what would you classify a ricer as... how bout those fords n chevys that are lifted or lowered with body kits and rims with many other mods.. do you have to have an import to be a ricer? fak, iono.

Do nerds know people make fun of them? My guess is they do, they just think they're better and everybody else is just stupid. Don't we (the nerds) think that?

Nerds nowadays don't get made fun of too much.. probably because they're in their own world.. and nonnerds just don't care like they use to.

Ricers are ****WANNA BE***, aka Posers, Pretenders. Real racing enthusiastics are the ones that have cool cars with the real deals. Go to the book stands and check out Sports Compact Magazine, Turbo, ect. and such. You will see the real racers that spend hours and thousands of dollars to improve their cars with REAL add ons and improvements, not just some stickers and coffee can mufflers and such from the wannabees. First rule of the game, SPEED = Hard work + Testing + $$$$

BTW, I can say the sam thing about the dumb ass muscle heads with mullets and their wannabee mustang/camero/domestic sports car. Idiots are everywhere and across bounders/races, not just ricers.
