do people outside of the NJ area know what taylor ham is?

PA here, and never heard of it.

And the smell of scrapple alone literally makes me sick. It is absolutely disgusting. My mom eats it with maple syrup on it. Blech.

Live in NY, worked in Newark for a bit and saw Taylor ham omelettes offered at the deli. I'd never heard of it, thought it was a specialty or something (oooh, not just ham, but Taylor ham?), so I ordered one. Tasted like ham.

I grew up eating Taylor Ham sandwiches for breakfast. My mom is able to pick it up from time to time in the Houston, TX area and ships me 3lb rolls as often as she can find them. Speaking of which, I need to call her and have her pick up some more because I am out.

PA has no saltwater beaches, n00b.

Jersey has some of the crappiest beaches in the world. Ohhh but Ocean City was rated America's #1 family resort! Yea, thanks to its awesome alcohol-free policy. What a great place!

Face the facts, the only good thing about Jersey is the fact that it borders Philly and NYC.

That, ironically, is why NJ has such a negative image to most people. Because NJ's urban areas like Newark and Camden suck. Much of the rest of the state is very nice, but most people never see those areas.

Yes, those areas like Moorsetown and Hoboken owe NOTHING to the bordering states, they'd be just as nice on their on!

haha don't even get me started. You saps can't even pump your own gas! (literally, I know several people from Jersey who don't know how). Nevermind the fact that the price is the same as the out-of-philly areas of PA, you have the pleasure of waiting 2-3x longer for your gas, or more at a high volume station. Go Jersey!

How the hell can anyone live in NJ and not know what Taylor ham is???

The most awesome meat product in existence- "just heat 'n eat" !

My sister moved to Arizona a few years ago and has it imported by some specialty store. It's addictive.

Clean hands, and I get to sit in my warm/dry car while some underpaid dude stands out in the weather doing my bidding.
