well i have an antec minuet case. it is super small. it runs pretty hot. i dont even have a cdrom or floppy in it just a hard drive, nforce2 igp board, and chip and 2 sticks of ram , and no overclocking. no cards installed.
i have the copper base arctic cooling super silent tc pro. cost $18 + 4 shipping at svc.com
this is supposed to be quiet. i wanted a whisper quiet system.
anyways.... its temperature controlled right. so ive got a 2500+ barton. that could do 3200+ in a regular board, running at stock speeds.
i stress test the heatsink with prime 95. get this it actually hits 71C on the diode within 10 minutes. fan spins at its max of 2800 rpm and is kinda noisy, but the temp just keeps going up. and the computer actually shut itself off i think to protect itself from burning up into a flameball. i almost thought my chip died. oh well.
looks like its time for me to buy a new fan. hence, i do not recomment this for htpc and sff type cases, though you may be tempted to with its super quietness when not at load.
