DO NOT BUY FROM ALIBABA.COM, THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF ! And now Genoa overheats due to them,.

So I ordered a HSF from them, and they said "Delivery attempt failed". When I asked them, they said no address provided. Then I said "its right on the order, and its valid" then they said, " there is no 9 digit zip code" and thats why it failed. Then I said it was not even delivered to USPS and they just said sorry. Then I asked for a refund and it was denied. Then they cancelled my refund request and said "get it from your cc provider". This is a scammer company. I am now out $93.03 and a heat sink I was awaiting for, for almost 2 months.

I am out $93.03, thats not pocket change. BTW CPU related, since I could not get my Genoa 9654 operating properly due to this,

I think this is well known Mark. AliExpress makes eBay and Amazon Marketplace look like angels.
But do issue a charge back if you can.

Aliexpress are owned by alibaba but seem to be better. I have to check but I might recant my earlier post to you and say I likely bought those transmitters from alinexpress. for domestic companies I've found an expletive laden rant usually causes the offending csa to sthu and do their job.

the new cooler he wants from noctua, that the same one u14s for the xeons but in epyc footprint size? the new noctua that does what was 650 or 750 watts of cooling power?

Does not exist yet, but I am sure thats what I want. But Q3 ????

What do you expect? It not like you can reasonably sue them. They are China direct....and if you don't self police, they're more than happy to keep the money.

Also, I think Citibank is more workable when it comes to credit card disputes while Bank of America is more than happy to just deny when the legal cutoff passes.

Unfortunately although its possible to sometimes get cool stuff for cheap from those "China-direct" companies, you're really rolling the dice spending more than pocket-change with them.

Hopefully you paid with a credit card or bank-issued debit card so you can charge back. (do so immediately if it's an option!)

Here is the problem. The cooler I need is this https://www.loricooler.com/lori-4u-...active-amd-sp5-lga6096-socket-cpu-cooler.html and they are the only ones that sell. it. If you can find this somewhere else, I would gladly buy it.

There was a reason they took forever back in the day on Ebay...and I doubt it was actually the "shipping" itself taking forever.

Legal minimum for credit cards is 60 days, and it seems OP's credit card is a tightwad company like Bank of America who won't care afterwards.

Almost looks like THEY don't even sell them! 😳 (link 404'ed)

Too tired to do a proper search but it appears at a glance that Newegg has a couple (expensive) Noctua coolers which should work albeit awkwardly with some effort. But then @ the price/value of that CPU I'd be mighty careful myself!

😉

EDIT: It appears that there ARE several server-oriented AIO liquid coolers for Genoa available now ... possibly louder than an A380 @ takeoff (lol) but they should get OP up and running safely at least

For example:

Dynatron L32 1U Liquid Cooler For AMD EPYC Genoa 3 (servethehome.com)

Know that it's a platform, sellers are individual companies. Alibaba support is the people you have to contact.

Use whatever cooler and attach it with thermal epoxy. A proprietary cooler isn't essential unless it fits a proprietary space/case.
