You don't hear about them because the government controls the news

This.

Back in 2007-2009 China had to deal with an insurgency from their Uighur (Muslim) ethnic group and a variety of events occurred during the uprising.

China demolished the old city of Kashgar after the warrens of alleys and narrow streets provided cover for Islamic separatists. Much of the old city dated back to the days of the Silk Road and it was destroyed anyway.

According to several reports the Chinese military killed about 40,000 people in the course of putting down the uprising.

Then there was also a suspected uprising in 2014 in the city of Yumen. China quarantined the city and made it off limits to the media 'for safety reasons' and claimed there was an outbreak of bubonic plague. China notably refused assistance from both WHO and CDC and in the aftermath unofficial sources claimed about 12,000 deaths. Estimates are that the disease that was put down was Islamic extremism.

& etc. but these are the two biggest stories of recent years.

You don't hear about any of it because the Chinese government knows how to deal with the media.

It also helps when your government owns all media, too. ;)

Relegion isn't the book, it's what people make of it.

Some people are real assholes.

Don't be an asshole.

For the Abrahamics, it sure is. Also, religion (in the Abrahamic sense) is like a corrupted operating system (OS) installed on various kinds of hardware (humans across the world). Some know/are able to ignore the shitty parts, some aren't. The question then becomes, why keep the corrupted OS when you can cleanse yourself of it?

To all Abrahamics (Jews, Christians, and Muslims), become atheists (like secure-erasing your conscience). The diseases of Abraham belong in the dustbin of history.

Is it supposed to be a good thing that they don't have freedom of speech and the press in China and Russia?

Religion is the operating system, The book is the processor. It defines what is or is not compatible, it forms some of the limitations of the software that runs on it. But ultimately its the cultural-relegious OS that sends and retrieves things from the processor, and can generally be programed to do whatever you like, no matter the architecture.

In the law "communist" countries tended to be very much against religion.
Well, in the law in western countries, there is substantial documented precedent against atheistic individuals (or just anyone of a contrary opinion).

1) Stop lying
2) Stop making excuses for a "religion" that idolizes the violent Muhammad who resolved problems with the sword, not with reasoning.

It's pretty hard to corrupt "nah, I'm not a believer".

People can believe in all sorts of things. Fascism doesn't need any particular fairytale, only a desire for action. Trump, for example, isn't based on religion.

You link to 48 domestic murders since 2001 and compare it to Islamic murders globally? hahahahaha. That's 1.6% of 9/11 murders alone (48/3000).

Let's list the 171 global attacks (and tens of thousands murdered) since only 2010 in the name of "Islam".

In that time period how many civilians did the US kill as "collateral damage" or from ensuing disorder? The US being a predominately Christian nation whose leaders when running for election try show how "Christian" they are, will you blame those deaths on Christianity?

1) Stop reading from biased sources, they aren't giving the whole picture, not even a fraction
2) Stop spreading fud

Muslim is such a very broad word, it's the first step before you'd come a believer or fearful for the god in all your actions.
In fact, if you read through Quran you'd find much more emphasis placed on 'believers' compared to muslims.

But nice try from such sites. Islamic terrorism counter? :)

This is the reply I was looking for. Very interesting. Thank you.

You guys arguing about the Koran.... No wonder they say P&N is nutty.

1) Wiki isn't a biased terror site since even muslims can edit it. And what attacks on the list do you disagree with? That's all public info from news sources around the globe.
2) In fact, if you "read through the Koran", specifically 5:33 you'd find emphasis on believers as well. Believers who are commanded to kill, dismember, or exile anyone who creates "mischief" as Allah. This is indisputable and public information what this verse commands. However, what "mischief" means is anyone's guess.

If muslims want to progress and be taken seriously, they either need to remove or reword that verse.

Slamming me for spreading public information is laughable. Anyone can verify what the Koran says or Islamic attacks around the world. You just choose the ostrich method (head in the sand) and scream fud fud fud!! whenever someone posts something you don't like. Back your opinion up with facts or no one will take you, or muslims, seriously.

I suspect it's more about your bias and ignoring the actions of individuals following another large religion, that has traditionally killed just as much if not more, due to it being the one you are following...
