I just take the cards to the stores, lets say I bough something for $57.64 and I have a $15 rebate card, I just ask them, can you charge $15 to this? never had a problem.

They usually take forever to send me my gift or money... I usually forget I even sent the thing in.

Use them fairly often on computer parts. A stamp and 10 minutes to fill out a form is worth it to me. Almost always get the gift card/check.

I have excellent success with mail in rebates, but they are a pain in the ass with how long they take to process and actually get you your money. It has to be a really good deal for something that I want for me to bother with it.

What the hell is an MIR?

ITs a Russian Space Station

So far i'm 1 out of about 20, or so, that actually came back. So I don't buy anything that relies on the MIR to get the price competitive.
