I got Z590 Phantom Gaming 4 ac MB, I am trying to install pair of memory but I cant seems to populate memory channel A or just able to use A channel.
If I put any module in there it just sound like fan picks up speed and get slower.
If I use memory channel B it works fine.
Is that mean I have defective MB?7ED2F59B-4A46-4621-BBBD-C81C34652DE1.jpeg7A13DF46-29BC-4838-8329-4A4AFCE300FC.jpegA8D84591-F3AD-460F-8FAC-EB0FB35BDC29.jpeg
The memory I am using is F skills F4 3200c 14 D
Here is CPUz stuff Linkified
Thanks in advance

Here is the bent pin:

It is quite possible that it is barely touching the CPU, having a contact not good enough before you reseated it. It works now, but it might eventually lose contact again with heat creep.

If it was another pin, closer to the center, it would possibly touch another pin and cause even bigger issues.

If you have not shown this circle picture I wouldn't able to see it all. (Thanks)
I wonder I should think about RMA then ?

bent pins have a nasty reputation where RMA's are concerned. Most board makers will deny your RMA. It would be best to see if it could be bent safely back into position. You will need a strong magnifying lens and a pin or something equally small to do it. Nerves of steel also help.

There are videos on youtube about this.

umm im suprised no one commented on your ram placement.

This picture here:

You have ram in slots B1B2.
You will not get dual channel out of this config as the lanes are just not physically there for it to work like that.

In the second picture it shows you fixed the ram placement:
FEBE4D6E-23F0-4F29-B067-A9473CD9A3E1.jpg
Meaning you have ram placed in (cpu) (gap)(ram)(gap)(ram)
which is dual channel config, and will use the dual channel lanes and also shows why it works.

It states this in the manual, to always occupy A1 + B1 then A2 + B2.

I would not worry too much about your bent pins as they look good, except possibly the lowest left pin, that looks a little bent.
But i do not think bent pins was your issue, it was most likely physical ram placement.

I really think you have miss the comment I have made, I couldn’t get MB to boot if any thing occupied in Memory Channel A.
I was only able to get it to boot, when memory was memory channel B.
However after taking a CPU out and look for bent pin on a socket, which I didn’t see, but other readers on this forum saw that.
After that memory Channel A started to work by it self and with Memory channel B.
