If someone goes to the gun shop and buys AK-47's with like 30 magazines, chances are a bank is being robbed, or a school shootout is about to happen, or he has a really big family that he wants to kill.

No, it means Obama won the election, and that the seller is giving a discount if you buy magazines in bulk.

<------just bought a dozen 30-round Magpul PMAGs for an AR-15.

A gun is a tool that can just as easily save a life as take one.

I'm not against gun ownership, but statements like these just make gun nuts seem stupid.

I have never been in a situation where a gun could save a life. Yet, there are hundreds of thousands of people within walking distance from me, whom I could kill very easily. Guns are made to kill people. That doesn't mean they aren't tools, or that they're inherently bad. It just means that they are made to kill people.

Columbine.

1 gun could've saved 10+ lives.

by taking other lives.

so......

...by killing!

how ironic.

Sometimes yes. Sometimes just the sight of a firearm is enough of a deterrent.

agreed.

but no one can ever argue against the fact that the chief need for a gun, the reason they were ever developed, is for killing. unlike the other "tools" mentioned earlier in this thread, the only use for a gun is killing. can't argue against that.

target practice is simply training one to become more effective at using the gun, in killing.

I'm not arguing against guns, just the silly semantic arguments people try to use when discussing them.

Which one is it?

When the mods press the ban button, is it the button that nukes RoloMather, the mod that nukes RoloMather, or the "series of tubes" that nukes RoloMather?
