Do guns kill people, people kill people, or bullets kill people?

I enjoy listening the noises people make after being shot. My dream is to create a Symphony of the Gun, where the only instruments are the voices of the dying. It will be magnificent.

A gun is a tool that can just as easily save a life as take one.

I'm not against gun ownership, but statements like these just make gun nuts seem stupid.

I have never been in a situation where a gun could save a life. Yet, there are hundreds of thousands of people within walking distance from me, whom I could kill very easily. Guns are made to kill people. That doesn't mean they aren't tools, or that they're inherently bad. It just means that they are made to kill people.

Be thankful you haven't been in a such a situation. Some have and it's not pleasant.

So what would happen if you had a gun at say Columbine? If you would of shot and killed the attackers you would have saved lots of lives that day.

Obviously he can't have a gun because of the hundreds of thousands of people who are near him. After all, possession of a gun + vicinity to other people = instant mass murder.

God kills people. If you're on His list, the instruments of His Will will find you.

Edit: Post 32 in this thread? Wow, the mods must be eating dinner.

Columbine.

1 gun could've saved 10+ lives.

I made no statement to that effect. In the original statement, Billyzeke used the word "easily." With a gun, a nuke, a knife, bare hands or a bic pen, it is much easier to take a life than save one. And if you saved a life by taking a life, you still killed someone.

There are many legitimate arguments in favor of gun rights. Why not use those instead of ridiculous statements extolling stupidity on goodness of guns. Guns are not good. Guns are not bad. They are tools, tools for killing people.

Intellectual honesty makes life better for everyone.

Do you see the bolded word? Relative to the ease with which I can walk into a grocery store and shoot the first person I see, killing someone during the commission of a crime is incredibly difficult.

This isn't rocket science, guys.

You're right. It's a topic about guns and people and killing. And people with guns killing people.

Oh and bullets. 😛

I'll agree with that. I actually don't own a gun myself, but I believe the right to own one should be protected. Oh, and they're not "all" for killing people. I would guess that wild game hunters make up a very large portion of civilian gun owners.

Ahh! Semantics. A gun is a tool that can save a life or take one.
Is that better?

Yes, that is correct. I would edit my posts to include hunting, but I'm too lazy.

Why is one gun for killing people and another for animals? Is there another class for killing paper targets? They are all tools whether for good or bad depends on the person wielding it.
