Do grad schools really care

If you take a core class at community college over the summer? I seriously want to get calc 2 out of the way so I can "catch up" and finish all the core classes by spring of 2010. My adviser said it might look bad to grad schools but...really, its calculus 2.

If you have live donkey-shows on campus for Cinqo-de-mayo?

I already have the donkey, I just need to find a willing participant.

In a former job, I was part of the decision making committe that accepted applicants to a graduate program.

I can assure you we didn't care whether one core course was taken at a community college.

That's the key. If they were dead I think you would have an issue, but live donkeys should be all good.

I first read said and thought, "what the FUCK kind of question is this?!"
then I realized the time warp

They probably do if you are in a film school of some sort since that would be a rip off of a lesser Kevin Smith movie.

Grad schools probably wouldn't care if your GPA were ok and you had good test scores.

And they claim to be a liberal haven, once again we see that it is the liberals who hate freedom and are the most intolerant!

Your advisor has been stuck in her little academic tower in detachment for far too long.

This is by far the greatest use of time warp ever. I actually paused and seriously considered that the OP was asking a legitimate question.

Your post edit is more confusing and disruptive than a childish topic edit. You should go on vacation for causing such unrest.

I've seen enough donkeys, trust me, and I'm not about ready to get off the wagon!

I have an associate's degree from a community college and I graduate with a BS in CS from a no-name public state university (the institution and CS program are both fully accredited by the proper agencies) this week. I got accepted into a Tier 1 Institution outside of my state and they gave me a graduate research assistantship as well (free tuition, health insurance and salary). They did not seem to care that I attended a CC for two years, but I did take all of the science and math classes that matter at a university.

Medical schools care. I can't speak for other types of graduate schools.
A girl I knew from HS got into dental school and had taken several CC classes in the past. It is still possible.
