So what is being said here is that unless someone has direct experience in something, then they are not in a position to have an opinion on it? Doesn't that preclude anyone in Washington from giving their opinion on, oh, just about anything?

Finally, something I can agree with. Most of those people are career politicians who have never worked in the private sector, so they have no business telling the private sector how to do business.

Glad to see the Democrats are finally on board.

DNC advisor? LMAO Turn off Fox news and get the real scoop bro... This is a desperate attempt form the Rabid Right in brand damage control which won't amount to shit anyway.

It's also amusing that whenever the Republicans would go after Michelle Obama it was mean-spirited, or racist, or sexist, or whatever the popular talking point at the time was. Now they can't wait to gear up the attack machine.

You become what you hate. Democrats have become Republicans. Well done. *golf clap*

It is racist when she was called uppidy

Denying choice == someone else paying for it. Get with the program.

/sarcasm

If we have insurance through the same carrier and you have brain surgery (hopefully successful so it won't cost so much) then I am paying for that too....Get over it bro.

First sentence is a strawman. Rest of post is irrelevant.

what does that have to do with the price of tea in China?

tbh, I've never heard of health insurance companies paying for birth control... my health insurance company doesn't subsidize the condoms I buy; I wouldn't argue that they're encouraging me to gets AIDS because of it.

Every insurance plan my wife has been on has covered it. That's at least 4 IIRC.

Mine has for the last 30 years and it also covers ED meds too were is the Right Wing outrage over this?

Rosen is right. Romney's can't relate to struggling working women. Mitt doesn't even try, he expects his wife to talk to the maid and tell him what problems working women have.

neither can 99% of elected officials. You need to be a millionaire to run for office and therefore are out of touch with most of the population because of that.

If I have misunderstood your position apologies.
Having lived and worked in the inner city I do know that pregnancies happen too often for the wrong reason. The culture considers it preferable to have children to avoid work. I had a hispanic coworker who got no end of shit from family and friends for getting an education and a job. As a minority she is entitled to stay at home and be paid to have kids. Note that this is not my interpretation, but her own words. Shes tells a common story. I'm not seeing that as a good thing, but no one dares address the issue because of the often played race card and frankly attacks from the left.

My wife experienced very similar things, so your observation is not unique. A coworker from a prior company related her experience to me. She was ridiculed by friends when she was younger because she was serious about getting an education to get a well paying job. She was accused of doing things 'the white way'. Her words, not mine.

You can have an opinion on anything you want but depending on your experiences/education it might not be valued much. But I think the there were two points Rosen was trying to make. One, Mitt (who's the one running for POTUS) doesn't know how to relate to women. Two, Mitt is turning to a woman who doesn't have the experience/knowledge of the 'average mom' to try to get some perspective. I.e. Mitt, the candidate doesn't have a clue.

Actually what they are saying is that a PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE should not admit or allude to being advised or CONSULTING with a person who is not qualified for either on the subject being discussed.

You do not go to Pee-Wee Herman to ask about nuclear physics or Jim Carey to ask about immunology...... [/bait]

And the problem being, that womans friends were 100% right. For many people it is too hard to get over the social safety net "hump" that we have made.

Instead of a system that encourages growth, we have made a net that prevents the worst from happening.

Removing it is not a great solution, but saying nothing is wrong is not right either.

Yep, white women's rights end when they decide to raise their own children. I'm surprised we're not stoning them yet. You know like the left's buddies in Iran.

Wrong.

A "white woman" can have as many kids as she wants, but "advising" a president on how working moms should be 'handled'......

Nuh-uh.
