Amazing game!!!
I love the music, controls, gameplay, everything!!!
Great blend of hip hop, house, rock, old school, etc.
A lot of tracks that many people probably have never heard of, but many are blended in with familiar tracks that most should know and love.
There are several elements in the game so there is little bit of a learning curve, but the tutorial does a great job of illustrating how the game works. For example, you have the standard button press matching that's similar to the other hero/band games, then there's the scratch moments where you hold down one of the colored buttons and move your hands back and forth. Your timing of when you press the button, move back and forth, and let go are critical in these moments. There are scratch notes, of course, of several different lengths. Then, we have the cross fader than moves you from one song to the other. I love the way they implemented this, durring moments when the mix moves to one song, the blue or green bar thing will sway to the right or left depending on which sound the mix is triggering. You essentially match those bars. This is confusing at first, but after a few play throughs, I got the hang of it. There are also other things, like the sample and effects, but I don't want to do an entire review of the game right now...lol.
I love this game, and hope others will give it a try. It does add several new elements and concepts to the genre. If you're a fan of the underground dance/house music scene, this game is must.
There's tracks from Pryds - pjanoo, Fedde le grande - Put your hands up, even Sandy Rivera's - I can't stop (I couldn't believe this).
