That's exactly where they're going. Hope whoever does it gets nailed for something and they check the VIN code on the engine.

A RWD motor into a FWD chassis? Not exactly an easy swap, and very unlikely this motor will EVER see the inside of a Civic.

i thought this was going to be that sr20 beating the s2000, this is twice the psnage =\ sucks for the owner, hope it's insured against strippage to the max.

Just because it's not easy doesn't make it impossible. It can be done. It just takes an inordinate amount of money. Most of that is - as you can guess from this incident - sourcing the motor.

Wow, that car got violated.

Looks like they even took the passanger side airbag. Guess those weaksauce theives have pretty good practice dismantling the car from the looks of it.

I know it's not impossible - i'm just saying anyone that takes the time to professionally strip an S2K likely does not have intentions of putting the motor inside a Civic. There are several other chassis' the S2K motor is highly desirable in. Besides, the K20's are a much better swap for a Civic.

Because they can make more money with less chance of being caught by stripping it.
