Ummm, no. A DivX file cannot carry 5.1 audio. If you think it is, please tell me what compressor will allow this. Most DivX's audio is compressed with MP3 or Windows Media...neither of these support 5.1. Even if it was a raw WAV file, that isn't gonna be 5.1 either.

Okay...well, does anyone know how I can convert DivX to VCD so I can play it on my DC? :)

It's non-standard, but there are DirectShow filters that will allow playback of AVIs with ACS audio. doom9.net is a good source for info on this.
