The crazy part is people will actually pay. Just wait like a year or even less, and you can own it on DVD and it will be cheaper. People tend to be so short sighted when it comes to these type of purchasing decisions.

A year? You can wait 3 months and see it for "free" on Disney+.

I just said that since I was not sure what the time line is, but point is, you can just wait a bit and it's cheaper/free. Did not realize it was only 3 months though that makes it even worse that people actually pay extra just to see it now.

We watched it the other night with my parents. My mom and dad are having there condo remodeled and she wanted to get out for a bit so we invited them over for a pizza and movie night.

The movie was just ok. Decent acting and effects and of course it's a very old story so it goes without saying that the story has stood the test of time. But at the same time it just felt kind of empty or lacking any real emotion. IDK I'm not a movie buff so not sure how to describe it. My 13yo son lost interest after about 45 minutes and left to back to his room but his 14yo friend who was spending the night enjoyed it and watched it with us.

I don't think it's worth $30 maybe $15-20 but overall it wasn't a bad movie but it wasn't great either.....it was just ok. I won't watch it again but I didn't feel like I wasted my time seeing it once.
so the anime was much better?

lol I sincerely hope that Disney gets reemed from both sides on this one.

Americans are shitting on them for their obvious love of a slave camps courtesy of the Chinese government on their indigenous people.

China is shitting on them because goodluck having a movie released there and making sure you censor everything that they don't like.

Beautiful.

and That China filming location was used only for roughly one minute of background footage. 😱

They should care. Maybe they'll care more when instead adding movies to free streaming they linger at $5 rental, drifting down to $1 rental for years. Holiday movies mysterious disappear from free tier near the actual holiday, etc. Media companies would like nothing more than create a permanent per view structure.

You should care because it won't just be Mulan if this goes well for them. It will be all the star wars and marvel stuff as well.
Disney announced today Pixar's new movie "Soul" will no longer debut in theaters later this year. Instead, Disney will premiere the movie on Disney+ in December 25th for FREE.

It looks like Disney is going all in on Disney+ streaming platform.
