They should have never been separated or held hostage to begin with and that's wrong, but they also should not be getting millions, that's insane. Just let them go back home or let them apply for citizenship and stay legally.

The $450,000 is per person and around $1 million per family is what is being negotiated.
 
If Trump didn't abuse the human rights of these people, they'd have no case and would get no money.
