Interesting that Biden is re-starting the Remain in Mexico policy: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/b...trump-era-remain-in-mexico-program/ar-AARotcr
I find this surprising
1) that biden wouldn't just tell mexico not to go along with it so the court cases could be quickly overturned

2) that mexico would want to go along with it (they get absolutely nothing out of this policy)

seems very odd and a disappointment on biden. Overall i find him a very middling and disappointing president to this point I have to say. Better than trump, but probably worse than what any of the other democratic primary opponents he beat out would have been.

I think Biden is making the political calculation that doing anything differently would just inflame the right wing and open him up to criticism that he was being "weak" on illegal immigration.

Ironically enough those same people will still say he is "weak' regardless of what he does.

I'm baffled why people want more people flooding into the country. We have housing shortage, auto shortage, over crowded schools, roads are already jammed with cars. Crime rate is soaring!!!

You should totally start a thread about that instead of derailing the thread you started.

While at the doctors office today this matter was the topic of discussion and for the first time D's and R's were in agreement that no money should be paid to them.

I bet there weren't any Japanese in that discussion.

That is the liberal solution to everything ..... stop enforcing the law....

- Let all the illegals in and do not enforce immigration law. We need people to do menial labor and if they dont, threaten deportation. Those who are waiting to immigrate lawfully can just keep waiting.
- Legalize pot and /or do not prosecute possession of small amounts of drug possession. The jails are full of harmless addicts who do not steal or commit crime to support their habits.
- Let retail theft under $950 be a non jail-able offense. Just write them a ticket if we even bother with that much. They are only stealing to survive anyway.
- If someone cannot afford bail, let them go under personal recognizance. Surely they wont commit more crime!!

In many countries people are fleeing, the problems in their country are made worse by LACK OF LAW ENFORCEMENT. In many countries (not all), the police are corrupt, the legal system is broken or cannot effectively deal with criminal gangs / drug cartels / etc.

And it starts with allowing criminals to go unpunished.

This is why retail stores are being closed in liberal havens such as San Francisco. Why pay for something when you can just steal it? Forget the Ten Commandments. Forget the law. A 100% discount 24x7x365 simply cannot be beat! And no one will stop me! - unless they close the store. :(

Now emboldened, smash and grab flash mobs are terrorizing brick and mortar retailers.

Wake up liberals -

The solution is MORE LAW ENFORCEMENT, not LESS.

Uh huh..

Slow your roll 'Dolph

Not even a fair comparison as the denizens to which you infer were American citizens detained in the later days of WW2 which was atrocious.

Did you just admit that treating human beings like animals was wrong??

Somebody check, I think hell just froze over.

Snatching American citizens out of their homes and off the streets is not the same thing as illegals crossing our border illegally and being detained so you can stop the BS comparisons. Japanese Americans had no say in what happened to them versus the illegals who knew damned well what they were doing before they crossed our border. If they'd never crossed it wouldn't have happened.

So glad people don't buy cars in other countries.

Why is it so difficult for people to understand the difference between asylum seekers and illegal immigrants?

Fleeing crime and violence in hopes of finding the American dream that we've been selling lo these past hundred years?

Seeking asylum is not illegal so you can let go.

If the local gang told you to pimp your daughter out to pay them $200.00 a week, what would you do?

Hang around and sell her?

And by the way..

Does that also apply to your Dear Leader'?

View attachment 54162

While this seems like a great point, America was small country in 1929 with 121.77 million people. The country is now triple that and I think we have enough people living here that we don't need as many people immigrating.

Immigration policies have to be smart and wise and look at what is healthy for a country.

It would be healthy for the country if we traded you for one of the asylum seekers.

You can't argue with the left's equivalent of Qanon.
