The chicken will taste great and all then suddenly, hit that one spot. Can never figure out what it is. I wonder if it's bugs/worms/etc. I can never tell a difference by looking at the place I bit into though, it will look normal, just have a bad taste to it. I'm not even sure how to describe the taste. It's almost like a rotten taste. Anyone ever notice that? It seems to be typical of lower quality chicken like fast food... McDonald's McNuggets are notorious for it, I don't even eat those anymore. it's too bad because they actually taste good, except for when you hit a bad one.

I know the taste - almost looks like a gray or darker section of the meat. I've come across it a few times buying from a local grocer - not even sure it was Purdue or Tyson - can't recall. But I have not seen this in McDonald's nuggets. They are white meat now (I know it's been 2 years since you posted this). They are actually pretty good... 20 for $5.59 is a decent deal these days too.

I try not to think too hard about what I eat as long as it tastes good. We all know it's not really good for you, especially the red meats.

Corporate America loves you and wants you to know how much they value your support. Here's a coupon for our newest manufactured food like substances.

What's the alternative really? Eat vegan? I sit next to her and her meal every night. No thanks.

I probably am which doesn't mean the alternative is eating corporate sludge.

I don't mind eating the food I'm willingly paying for, but I'm supposed to care about the companies behind providing them? Go make a documentary and don't forget your tinfoil hat.

Hey, I get it. You don't care about food and you don't care what companies add to your food. Take the blue pill and strap your helmet on.

I signed up just to reply to this thread. Heres what the original poster must of seen. BTW, this chicken was alive less than 30 minutes before these pictures were taken. Completely organic, free roam, raised in my back yard chicken. Raised on chicken scratch/egg maker and whatever she found in the yard.

As you can see, besides those worms, completely normal. Which makes me wonder if most chicken we buy has these. But, we buy it frozen, we'd never see it . They are very tough, they're almost feel like tendon. But clearly some type of parasite.

On a side note, has anyone used photo bucket recently? I hadn't used it in years and its absolute trash. But I didn't know how else to post a picture in a forum.

For 2 years used to buy and break down dozens of pounds of chicken breast a week for a food truck business. Never encountered anything off putting.

Cutting fresh chicken meat is just normal cooking routine, nothing gross about it. Just wash your board, knife and hands after you are done. It's not rocket science

I don't want to spend 2 hrs cooking for a 15 minute meal. If you didn't understand earlier, I already said I was fine with what I'm eating.

Then just become a millionaire and buy an MRI scanner used to check all the food which your private chefs prepare.
