I've been watching every episode.

I hafta admire those guys for at least trying to make it successful.

They've got more balls than most here, including me, and are at least trying something instead of just bitching about it.

I see no reason for anyone to not hope they do well in this venture.

speaking of that it was halarius when the the dakota boy told todd to use the bucket to push the new grizzly bars down and the dumbass guy with the crow bar yells out STFU!! lol lol lol. wow so spend a hour fucking with it instead of trying dakotas suggestion. when Todd finally did use the bucket, they had the holes lined up in 5 min.
Anyone who has actually worked in these types of situations knows that it goes like that sometime. It's no big deal, happens all the time, and everybody thinks they have the correct answer. The Dakota boy was not the lead man and should have shut-the-hell-up after mentioning his fix one time.

The correct fix would have been to remove/reweld the brackets to match the pin placement but that would have taken too long.

I wish them well!

I'm wondering if that claim owner will let them back, considering they had squat when he visited the camp.

I am mostly pissed they weren't running that operation 24-7 towards the end. Granted they still wouldn't have got the 200+ ounces they needed, but they would have been further than the $20k they found.

I obviously don't understand TV revenue and such. Most watched show on Friday night or something like that as they kept advertising.

Who paid back the $230,000 they owe? How did they survive until season two with no jobs or money?

Most likely a % in the revenue from the ads was used to pay for their expenses. Note that there were about 4 reruns of each episode too. Not sure how it helps pay for their loans & mortgage on their houses. They'll have to sit it out till mining season starts.

'Gold Rush Alaska' - Season 1 Finale Recap

I was sick all day today... so I wasted the entire day watching the entire Gold Rush Marathon.

I am definitely a fan now.
These guys have a lot of guts spending all their money (and family money) on this huge gamble.

They haven't talked about it yet, but isn't the gold counted as taxable income?
