Traded the old exhaust from this thing for a set of used B&G lowering springs. They looked crazy rough but I was just gonna scrap the exhaust anyway.

In the process of blacking out most of the chrome. Using the center caps of the crap american racing rims till the BMW ones I ordered come in. Kinda regret not getting BBS center caps but they were more..

yeah....dont do that. honestly if you ever wanna do some endurance racing please let me know our race team is always looking for drivers we run a pretty good set up but the race equipment is costly. and we normaly run in the mid atlantic area so not wicked far from you but there always a fantastic time!

Especially the interior shot.
I always thought this era aged terribly. But I am starting to change my mind.
It's probably because most are running heaps. Seeing a clean one is so refreshing. I should just checkout a local BMW meet or cars show.

You know early E30s are seriously handicapped by their bumpers. A little paint or a euro swap and these cars look so much better. Mechanically they are amazingly easy to work on. Parts costs if you look is actually really cheap. Just need some BMW specific tools to do hard stuff like head gaskets and the like.
There are so many older BMWs out there that with a little love can really be nice cars

We are done for 2012 next event wont be untill spring of 2013 i can give you more info once the 2013 race season schedule comes out. but trust me you have loads of time. about 6-8months till our next race.

you have SR sitting for it and he offered cash on top of the trade good lord man why dont you own that 240 yet!

Thats actually better on 2013. If its that far away I can nonchalantly drop the dates into the date book and and plan for it!!


I will officially have to many cars though. Going to have to get rid of the Talon at this point. I guess I could just leave it out there till next year covered. Wife is gonna give me some crap for this one. Being budget neutral helps lol
 
I would do it, the LS400 is going to be way more common than the 240SX if you wanted to find another used.

My parents neighbor who is in her late 60's has a 1992 Red 240sx with the HICAS, its been repainted and only has like 100k miles she is the original owner. I'm giving her $2500 the day she sells it 🙂


What happened to the service manager? Was he the older guy?

Its MINE!!!! its on the lift right now being drained and prepped for surgery.

SR is getting water pump, oil pump, Pan, Catch, head gasket and timing since its out and I dont want to do any of that stuff again in 60k miles. A few buddies are coming over with 3 or 4 cases of beers. We get it in tonight unless we uncover something sinister!

Did you head back to DC yet man? My service manager was the younger guy. The old timer Randy is still with me luckily.

the weird thing was the chrome AND gold accents around the windshield and back window. WTF gold AND chrome? threw up in my mouth.
